Remember, the jury wanted to give Johnny $5mill in punitive damages on top of the original $10mill. They then turned around and gave Amber a $2mill consolation prize to go screw off and be quiet. She's since screwed off in different countries, hiding from paying what she should to Johnny, her insurers, and her lawyers, but she refuses to be quiet. This despite the fact she doesn't have to pay Johnny the original $15mill the jury wanted her to pay because Virginia law limits punitive damages to $350,000. And still, Amber was the one to go on a media tour post-trial. Amber was the one to file an appeal first, so of course Johnny was going to appeal the $2mill after that -- but he was perfectly willing to walk away and let live. He was ready to move on with his reputation restored. Amber, from the start, has demonstrated time and again that what she wants, what she cares about, is the money. Fifty thousand a month, three penthouses, and the car she likes to use, isn't that what she demanded in that letter that Johnny give her when he was divorcing her, and she panicked thinking he was going to throw her out on the streets, but he said 'no, you can stay as long as you need to to get back on your feet. It's your home?' And she said 'give me this, undo the divorce, or I tell people you SA'd me?' Yeah, we know how she thinks, and what she cares about. If she wanted to present as a victim in court, she should have at least put in some effort, instead of flailing around like she forgot how to hooman. I had very little opinion to her prior, but I came to distrust her, and even hate her glaring, pompous ways during the trial. Who's gonna work with her after that? I don't know. If she can't act when it counts, when can she? Fix it in post? Life doesn't get 'fix it in post.' Not that she's demonstrated an understanding of how life works. Everything Amber's done, that she's done to herself, is by her own volition. After everything, I'd like to say she's starting to get what she deserves, but she's dragging everyone else around her down with her, and they don't deserve the ruin she does. Amber needs professional help, but she's unlikely to ever realize that. She's a danger, to herself and those around her, and she refuses to fade away and move forward with her own life.

Allegations of perjury by Ms. Heard are being looked into.

They gave her £2mill because they didn't understand the Jury instructions. Depps had to be all 3 counts as guilty with 1 payment. AH was any of the 3 counts. The Jury thought that they could say he was guilty in one charge and there wouldn't be damages awarded. That's why they didn't write in amounts. When Judge sent the papers back for the amounts to be added the Jury threw some numbers in, not realising that AH were being processed as single counts and he'd be expected to pay.

She basically lists what the jury stated in the case and then goes on to essentially say "You KNOW what you were getting into and we had a deal you'd defend me regardless." - That is to say, she admits THEY (AH and her lawyers) KNEW it was defamation... and that they had a deal they'd cover her ass anyway. The $2 million was a consolation prize because someone on the jury felt sorry for Amber, which I can understand because, after six weeks of that trial, I felt sorry for Amber. For his own peace of mind, he should just waive the damages. She certainly wouldn't pay all at once. She'd draw it out over a decade at least.
