Logan Paul stunt almost cost American students their grants at the time. That was a nightmare when I was Japan durning that time. Thankfully no university went through with it, but make no mistake. The topic was at discussion. They were willing to ensure Americans were stranded because of Logan. They take respect serious.

Imagine being a streamer genuinely loving Japan and want to show what the country is like, only to not ever want to carelessly show off the camera because one idiot created a bad precedence
@JustAnotherJapanChannel Жыл бұрын
It's awful. Even for myself, I'm expecting people to give me dirty looks and be more cautious of me when I use my camera to film outside. I always ask for permission if I want to film inside an establishment for example, and I'm worried this will result in way more no's
@MrHitotsumusha Жыл бұрын
@@JustAnotherJapanChannel Yes, there are other big streamers out there in Japan that follow laws and show Japan as it is. Even they are careful more so. They feel the same way as you and are worried about this. You and I know that Japanese are very private people and the privacy laws are already strict. What's going to happen in the future? Some say this is another Logan Paul at it will be forgotten. I don't know about that with so many dummies streaming recently.

I had heard some of this news but not many of the details so thanks for the video recap. It's disgusting that he's treating people so poorly and taking advantage that most Japanese people will not confront him even as he spouts hateful things to them. I doubt he'll pull the same schtick back in America where people won't be so reserved, especially police officers.

Yeah it's absolutely disgusting behavior and because he's a coward, he's doing it in Japan where it's less likely to be called out for it. Gross

You're absolutely right he's damaging the perception of streamers in Japan and it's more serious than people realize. The government can overreact and enact laws restricting public IRL streamers and vloggers. Tourist ask why there are no trashcans in Japan not realizing it's from the subway gas attack in the 90's and the resulting overreaction by the government. Now people have to carry their trash around until they get home for all eternity. I've heard its illegal to even video in any business without permission, but vloggers do it all the time not realizing it. It's common to see vloggers being stopped from filming when inside a business, but thankfully I have yet to see a vlogger ignore or get perturbed. People must realize as you stated Japan is a homogeneous society where everyone is expected keep the peace in a way. Showing anger in public is looked at as a loss of face and viewed as childish or lack of self control. Johnny as well as others take advantage of this dynamic. It's a completely different culture from the west, people there think differently in ways we have a hard time understanding through western eyes.
