I saw him at his age of 17 here in Stuttgart/Germany l. Until today i call it one of the best blues shows in my live - and i have seen a lot of Bluesguys. It was, for me as a guitar player, not his art of guitar playin‘ - it was his passion of performing the blues, he was screaming out his soul. I came home and wanted to throw my guitar out of the window …..

Gut wrenching blues right there. Jonny's soul is as old as time. It's been done many times but nobody, I mean NOBODY, can ever do that song any better than that. Damn that was fine!!!

a very touching and beautiful version ! Jonny Lang is an amazing soulman ! He reminds me this fantastic performance of Joe Cocker "with a little help of my friends - 1969 - Woodstock - a total immersion of soul, heart and body in the song... When music and voice become blood and tears...

Alex Blum best supporting guitarist ever. Greatest stratocaster ever as far as i heard. That damn old fender is marvellous right? couldn t believe the sound. Magical
@julienguillaume50106 жыл бұрын
Alex Blum. One thing. That wasn t cool. The guy should have go on working his music go to school learn more cause everybody in the band is much better musician. They where making a living out of him. Poor kid was not noticing. Whzt did he get out of all that? The company and the musicians are doing just fine and when a kid like quinn sullivan shows up playing nice at ten they use him while he should be heading at berklee . That backing guitarist probably went to college to study music right? Why not johnny lang? His singing was not that good And his backing guitarist was much much better. I believe they made a fool out of him Johnny had hard times later He could have been in bad situation. Family responsable too maybe. Don t know

You can tell here how young he was and hadn't figured out the "less is more" concept. Paul Diethelm done great playing over the changes and I bet if Jonny played this song as an older player he'd take that same approach now too.
