so he paid over 9000 and she only had to pay 5000 he 4000 in the hole cause he trusted a family member. sadly some people family or not can't be trusted even if u think it's for a good cause. she a single parent and gets sick alot. I would have been like nope sorry but your to much of a liability. family or not 9000 isn't easy to come by when you got rent and bills. if it goes into collection they can even directly take it out your check if u refused. so the fact tht she was like idky he paid it was a stupid response. they was going to get their money regardless unless he wasn't working. he could have made 400 a month they don't care they going to take their portion. u can go hungry

1st case. Ok how in the hell were you able to take care of 2 children if you were bedridden for 1 year, two separate times?. If the student loan company didnt have your correct info, of course they're going to call the cosigner. You'd better drop that attitude of "pity me, I was bedridden for 2 years and I was a teenage mother and I can't pay because I work part time, in school with 2 children. Sorry dear, the world and loan agencies don't give a dam, they want their money. 2nd case, that property owner could have kicked you out at any time for not letting him inspect the property and he had the right to inspect it . I'm disappointed that Judge Faith didn't look at the defendants photos to compare. He probably got back there before you had a chance to get there and clean up

@@alannaalbritton381 Even the interest wouldn't add up to the amount he's suing for in that short amount of time. But why would he be suing her for a student loan of any kind. The loan wouldn't be on him it would be on her. Sallie Mae is just the loan servicer but the program is still the William D. Ford government program. Maybe they used an actual bank for the loan and not the Federal Student Loan program or he loaned her the money to pay it back and she never repaid him.

@@lookinatyoulookinatme1600 not necessarily let me explain. I had federal loans then I personally got a private loan through sallie Mae while in school which I think this was a private loan separate from federal for two reasons 1) I needed a co-signer with sallie Mae which is different from their federal program and 2) federal loans don’t allow you to pay on the interest while in college but sallie ma does. When I took out my 5k loan in college I paid 35.00 a month in interest until I graduated but over the course of that loan I paid a total of 9,000 which why he was suining for that much. You could’ve selected the option to defer totally until afte graduation but in my case that wouldve been an 11k bill instead of 9k which is why I opted to pay the interest while in school. Sallie Mae has different programs outside of the federal. Lastly she was out of school for 1 year which is why her repayment kicked in, once your repayment starts it’s hard to get them to hold off from contacted your co-signer. Hope that makes sense!

@@alannaalbritton381 Makes sense what you're saying. I was trying to think of another scenario. I also had Sallie Mae as a loan servicer but I had Sallie Mae in 2004. So maybe things were different then.

She's right, they should have put the loan on the firm it for medical and for her going back to school but for some reason they didn't. Somebody dropped the ball.

You can't just assume they will put the loan on deferment, which might be what she did. You have to call them and apply for deferment based on medical situation.

Unfortunately, he can’t sue for the same thing. The contract for these shows is that they accept the judgement is final and they can’t sue for any more than what they received. The plaintiff probably just decided to cut his losses and get what he could.
