This is another huge tasks for me - I always seems to give up before I finish -not trusting myself to complete the task -looking at others in comparison-but I’m working on it - taking it one step at a time -trusting myself that I can do it -and being okay with my decisions-thanks for the video -I look forward to them every Thursday-thanks you 🙏🏾

This is probably my biggest challenge. I am in my mid-fifties and look back on my experiences and see lots of failures. In my earlier years I would push, push, push for what I wanted and it was not good for me. Then the last 20 years of practicing a deep spiritual path I have paid attention to open doors, or so I thought. I just don't trust my judgement anymore, Thank you for sharing your experiences. I don't talk to people like I used to about my private life so I greatly appreciate listening to your challenges/successes.

All my life I've felt like a failure. With success I've felt like an imposter. There's always something or someone there to take you down a notch and humble you. Good talk. You're not better or worse off than anyone else, but just starting from a different place. I needed to hear that today, thanks Julia.

Super valueable. I ‘assumed’ career pursuits were A LOT easier..than they actually were, or easier for others. Have had a consistency problem for, a decade. Finally realized, it is difficult for everyone, have learned life achievements are difficult for everyone. Not everyone shows the training, sometimes thousands of hours, it takes to ‘get somewhere’. I certainly arbitrarily made up my number of how long things should take. Inspiration is truly just the beginning.

I was a member of the Shift Society, one of the best decisions to make a life change and I am living with more happiness. I am in another program to be a digital entrepreneur with multicultural and multilingual creations. This video and the knowledge of the shift society allows me to have mindfulness, learn from my mistakes and growth the foundation. For example, I am a beginner with creations, taking photos of my creations, creating listings, finding keywords, promoting the designs. I am not a failure, I am growing each day. ENROLL IN THE SHIFT SOCIETY!!!! YOU WILL GROW AND HEEL WITH MAKING THE EFFORT

I'm the same. I'm 23 years old, graduated from college at 20 and already a licensed civil engineer at 21, but I'm unemployed for nearly 2 years now, covid is a big factor. Living with my parents, everyday just trying to survive. I used to be more optimistic, but ever since the whole anxiety disorder kicked in, everything just feels so sad and dark now. I never thought I'd experience something like this.

OMG Julia! This was the Little Kick in the Butt for me. I spent my 3 days off just laying in bed being depressed about how my life as sort of ended up. I choked up on some parts of the video because I do give up to easily when I know if I just keep going I would get through it. For instance, my overcluttered overstuffed house....like my many unfinished projects I have lying around...and many un-started projects that I know that just need to just do it. Thank you! I am downloading this video to keep watching like when I get in this mood of being a failure at everything when I have done so much in my life. Many people call me a very strong and determined woman then when I look at myself I don't see it. I learned to say No awhile back and learned to just be selfish for myself and my daughter and of my time. Again, more videos of this kind! And again, Thank you for the kick in the butt! God Bless you!

I think this should be taught in school. I am currently studying for graphic design and creating a simple website takes effort and time. I get irritated when I don't get the results I was seeking. I feel more pressured when there is deadline coming, and along with multiple courses per week it really makes me ponder do I really want to continue. Although there is nothing wrong with failing a course, when one does fail a course they would have to pay extra tuition in order to take the course again, adding more anxiety to students to not fail a course. I am going to put effort in learning and I can always ask for help when I need it, and if I fail a course I am going to remind myself it is all part of the learning process. Thank you again Julia for your amazing content!

I failed out of college in 2012 just 3 months from graduation and it destroyed me so bad that for 2 years I honestly believed I was a failure and in that 2 years was diagnosed with a Generalized Anxiety Disorder. It wasn't until 2012 when I basically made it public to the world that I felt like a failure when I entered a fan lyric video photo contest for Skillet for their at that time new song Sick Of It. I entered a photo of me holding a sign that said FAILURE. I eventually became 1 of 91 people chosen worldwide to have their photo featured in the fan lyric music video for Sick Of It on KZbin. My picture was in the very middle of the video and it wasn't until that day that I honestly no longer felt like a failure.

Perhaps I missed it in this lesson; however, if we keep plowing along for a long enough period of time and are still getting little to no results, instead of just keeping on shouldn't we perhaps step back, take the "40,000 ft level view" of the situation, and maybe try to figure out if we are even pursuing something we were never intended to be doing to begin with?

Taoism. Going with the flow. If you're not getting results and it's making your life miserable, and the universe is showing you another path, take it. I live my life this way since forever, for right or wrong. Am I successful in life ? Some would say that I am very successful. Others see me as a failure. Some days I feel successful. Other days I feel a failure. But to me, it is more important to live a beautiful life in each moment, and go with the flow.

I've been working on not thinking I'm a failure for not saving my mom when she died when I was 9 years old. It's been 33 years since she died, and I feel like I've got nowhere. Every night since she's died, I've watched her die in my dreams. I've watched her die over 12,000 times. Every morning I wake up just reminds me of how much I'm a failure.

I think this weight has been on you for so long. As for a nine year old you should have been supported and explain how life works etc. But do not forget it was never you're fault. You need to face the pain and go through it it's easier said then done but I think it's time to forgive yourself and let you're emotions flow like calm water. Youself need to figure out how you can forgive yourself. Cause in the end you are there for you. It's okay for to get help but don't get attached to that. Take it in your pocket and learn from it I hope I didn't trigger you and I hope it made sense

This topic is not for me. I am a mature accomplished person and I know success doesn't come overnight. I recently started a relationship with a person and after 4 weeks, I know it is not getting anywhere. I figured out that after the 1st week and stayed on to give it a chance. I am walking away from it. Yes, it takes a long time to see results and if you can figure out ahead of time, you can walk away and start something new.

Critiquing and criticizing are 2 different things, one is constructive (critique) one is diminishing and belittling (criticize). A projection of one's self is what's going on in the inside as a demand and a reflection is where you are in your life as a representation. Self doubt doesn't actually exist unless you may or may not have been narcissistically abused or challenged, this is a form or triangulating and cohorsive control based on external sources being or wanting to be driving factors as primaries. You don't know you can do something unless you've been told and or punished for committing "wrong" to inflict the harm of doubt. Rusty, non shifter, getting on the list soon, hi, I have to remind myself: love, my sweet lovely, ok kid, slow down and take it easy, then I'm like what's easy, I thought this was easy..oops, slow down. Learning that there is a tempo and timing in life and speed. Like a metronome keeping pace, the consistency in stability is where I tend to want to thrive, continuity in community, and agreement in safety and reassurance.
