The catch can "fix" was honestly pretty genius... All that was missing was some way to have the oil recurculate back into the engine without needing to stop (maybe even by repurposing the windshield washer motor as an oil injection device, similar to what Deboss garage did in a fairly recent video where he drove a duramax Chevy with a blown head gasket from Texas up to the border). Rigging up something like that probably would have doubled the range between oil refills, which to be fair probably wouldn`t have made much of a difference

🤣The epitome of "the little engine that could!" I laughed pretty much through this entire video! Reminded me of stuff my friends and I did when we were MUCH younger! Working on our vehicles on my gravel driveway, pulling and reinstalling transmissions, brakes, carbs, etc. until the crack of dawn, dubbing ourselves "Midnight Auto😂! Thanks so much for sharing this very enjoyable video. Can't wait to see the next adventure! God bless.

In case you missed it the first 39 times, it’s a Bricklin SV1 at 6:40. I think @ViceGripGarage left it there last year.

That Bricklin is in Canada with DD Speed Shop.

@@JunkyardDigs Imagine if this video and Derek's had happened at the same time, and you just randomly ran into each other at that parking lot 😅

Funny how this video gets recommended. I go to my friend's house the other day and he shows me yet another Impala he found on Marketplace. This video is literally every year with his impulse to buy an old Chevy and he has to keep his mom from trying to buy it. She does that hilarious "I ask detailed questions about it and keep looking at it over and over, how much did you pay for it?" interest in old Chevys he buys because she used to drive burnt orange box Chevys back in the day. He told me tons of stories about how his mom back in her fresh from being divorced had all kinds of guys throwing themselves at her and her infamous burnt orange cars

I love that you knew Shake hands with danger. CAT mechanics have that classic safety video shown to them when they start.

I think this might be the most I've ever laughed at one of your videos. Angus is a national treasure.

That was more entertaining and suspenseful than 99% of what Hollywood produces today.

Man I always love happy endings so happy the car made it to its destination without a single issue and still running like a Swiss watch. 👍🏻 57:36

One of my favorite videos! So many laughs! Thank you Kevin and Angus for this masterpiece of a video. And thank you to the impala that barely made it to Dalton’s house 😂

Also, when I was 19 I was given a 1976 Buick Skylark sedan with an Olds 260 4.3L V8 with a Rochester 2bbl carb that made around 105-110 HP literally, and even though the timing was off, it only had 34,000 miles on it and it would easily maintain 75-90 MPH...eventually, but it would do it. Edit: I was actually able to get it to do a one wheel burnout, but I had to pour tire shine on the tire itself and power brake the hell out of it. However there could be a foot of snow on the entire car, it having been sitting for months, two pumps on the old go pedal, turn the key, and she would fire RIGHT up. Also, the heater would literally make you sweat (after I replaced the heater core). I was even able to make the AC work with a R-134A conversion. I also had to replace the front springs as well as the leaf springs because that car would sag like you wouldn't believe. Thank God it was free because it was crap...😂😂😂

"Duel" movie comes to mind with the smoke, just need an early 50s Peterbuilt truck behind you.
