I am 74 and in tears thinking that I could have had a much healthier life all these years. At age 7 put on a diet and continued all these years later and no success. Feeling lousy, tired, female issues, dry skin, heartburn, etc. I have just begun Carnivore eating. Always been a meat eater and told it was bad for me. Two days in and already feeling better. I still have years left to live and I feel that my life is just beginning!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

I am very close to how you were but a lil smaller but I am so sick people making comments to me like I'm huge or like you said having shorts that used to be so cute on me and now I can't even find a pair to fit me. I used to love shopping now I don't even want to go to the store and if I do I pick the biggest size don't even try it on and deal with it. Go with me here... When we have to poop (and I’m talking about a normal, run-of-the-mill BM), our intestinal tract sends a signal to our brains, that feels a little like anxiety, right? (We all know that feeling.) And, if we have pending diarrhea, the signal is stronger, we may even sweat a little, our heart rate a bit elevated, right?? So, these feelings are understood, direct messages from our digestive tract to our brains. Is there anybody who would argue this? OK. So what’s to say that if we’re truly messed up inside, our gut isn’t sending a constant stream of messages that we interpret as anxiety, panic, depression or a whole host of psychological issues? What if the constant alarm bell from the intestines is the source of a lot of emotional distress? I think it is. Keto helped, but the Carnivore drove it home! Cutting out the copious amount of greens I added when starting Keto, to replace the carbs I had been eating, worked WONDERS for me. The constant screaming from my innards just shut up one day, and it’s been beautiful. Hope this helps somebody.
@chokysenge

Oh man, I am really open to hear about this carnivore diet but man, I don’t think you can reduce anxiety just to diet. Dr Jordan Peterson needed to take benzodiazepines to lower his anxiety while on a carnivore diet... I mean, it can have an effect but I don’t think it’s the only cause.

Why you replaced carbs you ate with veggies' carbs in first place anyways...Every carb is same to body and you can only loss weight NOT eating carbs. Proteins and fat consumption only. Fat is as same as important, without it or not having 80% amount of protein you eat you will have fatigue, constipation and digestive problems and etc etc, because fat is feelin' good component of body

@@debbietaylor20 They have most people believing that glucose is the body's preferred energy and that couldn't be any further from the truth. Much like when you drink alcohol, your body must use sugar first, but not because it prefers it, but because it must get it out as first. Fat is the preferred and more healthier energy for your body and while it may take longer to process, it has more calories per gram and gives you much more energy. It also cannot be stored as body fat, unless you consume it at the same time with lots of sugar. Also, don't take that statin, whatever you do because cholesterol is not bad for you. We're made of cholesterol. There is no bad cholesterol, there is just cholesterol and there are two carriers. LDL and HDL and if you have a high level it means your body is inflamed and a high level of cholesterol is a good thing because it means your body is attempting to fix itself. Address the things that inflame you and sugar/carbohydrates are big time inflamers. Also, vegetable oils/margarines are really bad. Eat butter or use butter to cook, especially grass fed butter. Basically reverse almost everything they tell us to be healthy because we live in an age of deception; driven by a need for profit so there are no real morals when it comes to many things.

@Golden Knight Its obvious that you haven't done your own research. Look up the work that Dr. Sarah Hallberg has done with reversing type 2 diabetes, using a ketogenic diet, and she has published her findings. Dr. Jason Fung has also reversed many instances of type 2 diabetes by using keto in conjunction with intermittent fasting protocols. Furthermore, look at the lecture by Nina Teicholz, where she cites several studies on the efficacy of low carb diets: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nHuoeZyHgNaZkK8 Also look up the work of Dr. Colin Champ, an oncologist, who uses keto as an adjunct to conventional methods to treat cancer. Furthermore, look up Dr. Thomas Seyfried who also is doing research on keto as a compliment to conventional cancer treatment. Look up Dr. Dominic D'Agostino who works with special forces, to enhance performance by implementing the ketogenic diet. Dr. D'Agostino also is doing cancer research as it relates to keto. Do some research on Dr. Aseem Malhotra, who has published peer reviewed articles about keto. Finally, research the work of Dr. Stephen Phinney and Dr. Jeff Volek, both who are pioneers in using ketogenic diets as it relates to athletic performance. This is just a small list of clinicians and researchers who are using the ketogenic diet to address a myriad of problems. The only way you can say that there is a dearth of science concerning keto is either out of ignorance or an agenda.

@Golden Knight The same could be said for vegans/vegetarian physician, many of whom have conflicts of interest due to ideological attachments. For example, the very high profile vegan physicians - Dr. T. Colin Campbella and Dr. Neal Barnard - are affiliated with PETA. Another vegan doctor, Dr John Mcdougall, is a Seventh Day Adventist, which is a religious sect that has vegetarianism as a tenet of their faith. Dr. Michael Greger, another high profile vegan advocate, has ties to the Humane Society. Hence, many of the most high profile detractors of keto have conflicts of interest themselves, which may impugn their claims, and the studies they cite. I am open to seeing these conflicts of interest, in the physicians and researchers I listed, if you can truly adduce them. Show me a connection between the meat industry and many of these physicians and researchers. Even if you could, you still have a quandary on your hand. You see many of these physicians are open to a vegan version of keto. In fact, Dr. Stephen Phinney and Dr. Jeff Volek, in their book,"The Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate Living" offer a vegan option. That is not exactly something that people, who are in the pocket of the meat industry, would promote.
@alphacause
@alphacause 5 жыл бұрын
@Golden Knight My list shows that they are motivated by ideology. People who are motivated by ideology will have just as much of a proclivity to distort science to fit their ideological agenda. An ideological motive is just as much a potent force for dishonesty as a monetary one. Anyone with a cursory understanding of history and politics would understand that.

I started IF when I was 26 when I was struggling with anxiety, depression, and high blood pressure. My "doctor" at the time put me on anti-anxiety meds which made it difficult for me and my wife to be intimate, and the blood pressure medication was destroying my liver. This was after I asked my doctor if I could do it holistically, where he responded that none of it worked I just needed to take the medication. After I found out the blood pressure meds were killing me, I told my wife I was going to do it on my own or die trying. I was going to go out on my own terms. Intermittent fasting placed me on the path to saving my self. Here I am 32 years old and in the best health of my life. I don't have near the anxiety I used to have, I started building on my gut biome with probiotics, and now me, my wife, and my son all do Keto and IF. My son is 17 years old, and I tell him all the time he has a head start on his health because I didn't start doing it till later in life. We homeschool, which helps, but my spouse keeps bringing home sugary treats, so it doesn't help much at all when one parent enjoys spoiling them with sugar and soda. I also have begun to implement similar rules. I took things a lot more seriously tho, few days ago, after they went to a movie, ate all the treats, then McD's, then Walfart, then she ate even more candy on the trip home! That night she couldn't drink enough water to quench her thirst, couldn't fall asleep, got panicked, scared, tearful, & said she felt like she needed to go to the doctor: she felt like she was dying and still wanted water but too bloated to drink it. She was in pain. I know that's a symptom of diabetes, and she's been getting chubby lately. I had her pee and gave her water with minerals added (like Calcium, MgCl, MSM)... all night, and monitored her, and it subsided, but that got me the buy-in with hubs to implement the limited sugar rules and eat more whole foods, eggs, cheese, fish, meat, milk. It's so hard for her, though. The treats are everywhere. :-( What a struggle. I don't know what to make for meals bec everything she likes is starchy, full of salt, & sugar. So far I found deviled eggs (but the mayo now, I have to fix that!) Canned tuna (mayo again) + crackers Fried eggs & bacon (she wants toast and mostly eats that) The rest is typical SAD: Pasta, pizza, hot dogs, hamburgers, etc.

@@pefrat It went away quickly, I had already cut out all processed food and sugar in 2014 and only a little bit was left...so around 4 weeks for me to notice the little bit left was gone. I do still consume dairy, cream and cheese. My guess is that my rosacea is due to that. We did put herbs and seasoning on our food when we started but our enjoyment of them slowly went away and now we just put salt on our food. I have found that the few "cheats" that I have had in the last year, being a salad a few times, does not negatively affect my skin, but does negatively impact my digestion immediately. We are strict about it....but it just gets to a point where it isn't that you have to be strict it turns into a preference and doesn't really even faze us anymore. I've been following your videos for months now and just watched this one. I knew about Semmelweis story and have a PhD in medical physiology and have been pushing against "established" medical beliefs for most of my 62 years. For example, when no obstetrician in the NYC area would allow me, at 40+ to try and deliver my twins without scheduling a 36 week C-section, I found an established midwifery clinic and had an unmedicated delivery of 40 week babies weighing 6lb12.5oz and 7lb8oz. Figured, short of exceptional circumstances, I had EVOLVED to deliver babies just fine, thank you! So your philosophy really resonates with me. Now I'm struggling with subclinical Graves AND a 2 cm thyroid nodule with papillary carcinoma, but no lymph node involvement. Desperately fasting and keto until date of final scans just before surgery. Have lost 15 lbs,TSI down to normal range, and am pushing HARD for a hemithyroidectomy--so badly want to maintain some physiological regulation! Hoping surgeon will find isolated nodule all within one lobe and will leave me the other half. Will continue using your recommendations and, if I end up losing my whole thyroid, plan to demand Armor thyroid rather than Synthroid. Very grateful to you!

I've never been really sick except for pneumonia (twice😳 18 years ago) however between my family members and going to hospitals more than I would like to admit, having family die has made me realise how grateful I am for Keto and now carnivore. My health is exceptional, even when cardiologists look me dead in the eye and tell me pint blank that I will have cardiovascular disease eating the way I do. As I am Greek, married to a Dutchman, losing family and friends from every disease, I don't take any words from any medical specialist as gospel truth. My response to the cardiologist was this: "Dr I will outlive you and most likely your kids, and I will never ever see the inside a hospital from any food based illness." He just looked at me in complete shock. Same with a=n elderly hospital dietician who said that bread and cereals were the go for a members diverticulitis 😤😡🤬, I got her walking out the hospital room of my family member backwards as if she was backing away from a pit bull 😂😍👍✌🏻ok I sound like I am ggressive, but I don't actually LISTEN to anyone who works in a hospital filled with sickness.
