If it’s software then why can’t they do it over the internet? I plan to buy an ev from either Kia or Hyundai, NOT Tesla. Tesla is better at this but can you explain why you need to go to your dealership to do this. Thanks Brian for the information.

In the US they mostly deliver the updates over the air but you can still visit the dealer if it’s your preference. In Australia they also do OTA but the new update for RSPA is not on their OTA servers yet. In the UK they have OTA capability but Kia UK prefers you to visit dealer.
