His style of playing, the smooth switches and weird chords he used... and getting a sound like that out his hollow bodied Gibson ES-295. Truely an iconic player in my opinion. All of that done with this 'panache'. This will definatly be the end of Killing Joke. Where to find such a unique player again to fill this gap?

Every member of this band is so good. Crazy, weird-sounding reverberated guitar with all kinds of dissonant notes their are perfectly out of place, loud and bouncy, dominant bass guitar, crazy drums with all kinds of sick fills, a crazy, in-a-trance singer who looks and sounds like he's about to summon a demon or something, and well....a keyboard player to fill in the sonic gaps. It's pretty much musical perfection in my opinion. I'm a big fan.

Loved KILLING JOKE back in these early days. I saw them in Barrie, Ontario in the early 80's in the middle of the day at an event like this. Jaz also played keyboards on that tour. On a sunny day they pulled off a great set, shocking many who had come to see the Go-Go's and lighter fare. Iggy Pop played a great set too. I love Geordie's guitar being up so high in the mix and the energy these guys injected into a crowd like this. Not so sure everybody appreciated/understood their music. That show made me a KJ fan for life.

HH Gladish I was there as well, they have been my favorite band since, still are today. Saw them at Larry’s Hideaway a yr later when they recorded “ Ha “ and 3 or so yrs ago for The Singles tour, finally got to shake Jazz’s hand...last thing he did before leaving the stage. Meant a lot to me. I was so disappointed that they didn’t do Canada 🇨🇦 this last tour... “Pylon” fn’ is incredible....wow all these years, still the best fn’ band there is ! In Barrie my gf and I met some American girls, somehow they knew the guys at the entrance gate and we were let in before they let anyone in, my arms hung over the stage fence for the whole show. I remember like yesterday. Sorry for the ramble, had to share to someone who might care. I’ve played guitar for over 50 yrs now, my band in those days did Killing Joke covers...ppl had no idea but I do remember during a set the crowd was still singing “ Complication “ . You mentioned the Barrie show and this just came out...sorry. Fucking love Killing Joke !!!
