@@andyc6542 get a grip?? WTAF... Clearly you never lived during the times when we got some shocking American "comedy" TV and we exported our stuff to them. The comedy might get lost in translation.. Glad this couple like it as much as we do. No disrespect intended. 👍❤️
@andyc65422 жыл бұрын
@@sitcorocket Sorry for the hostile reply! Think certain shows translate better - this is very much in line with comedies like American Pie, so it shouldn’t be a surprise that it translates so easily across the pond, maybe excepting a few terms and phrases that we use over here. Completely agree that other comedies may be harder to be understood in America. It’s not even a scenario that is exclusive between our two nations - certain older sitcoms (off the top of my head, Steptoe and Son, partly because I’ve just watched a few episodes) may not be appreciated by younger audiences now as the passage of time can alter our views on comedy in certain instances.
@andyc65422 жыл бұрын
@@sitcorocket I also think ‘funny’ is funny wherever you’re from. As long as the cultural reference points aren’t too far removed, I think most people can appreciate a funny sitcom. I mean, Dads Army isn’t something I should ‘get’, despite being British, but I still find it funny. I think most great comedies can remove cultural barriers with great scriptwriting, funny scenarios and good acting.

DEFINITELY do the movies!! Especially the first one, it's so iconic... But finish all 3 seasons first because the films follow on.

The term bender actually stems from the early 80’s and the likes of Boy George who were said to be ‘gender benders’ as they were pushing gender boundaries. The term then widened to encompass homosexuality.

Can’t wait for the fashion show episode, the audience wasn’t warned so it’s a true reaction 🤣

This is one of my all time fav shows. I've loved watching your guys' reaction to this. So funny! I forgot how great this show is, and it just keeps getting funnier throughout the series, and then you get the hilarious movies. Just amazing, thank you for sharing your experience. Great fun! 🤣

Still remember first time i watched this, i was crying laughing for about 10 minutes while they were in the boat. The whole series is so relatable to school life in the 2000s-2010s.

Damn so now I’ve googled Florida seagulls and they’re TINY.. they’re like baby pigeons! Yeah are seagulls are like bigger than ducks, smaller than geese. They’re fucking viscous too.. I’ve been attacked by a seagull twice, one time I didn’t even have food on me, but I guess it just assumed it did. They fly in the air right in front of you and you just have to swing for them multiple times or they’ll fully divebomb you. Pricks.
