Omg you hit the mark with the last one. The amount of times kpop stans cry about plagiarism is insane. A good portion of the time they're right but then there's that other portion of people crying about plagiarism and then you see the plagiarism in question and its the most ridiculous thing ever. You literally hope their kidding but they're 100% serious. I'm not an nmixx stan and I wasn't a fan of their song either. When I was looking at all the plagiarism accusation on twitter when it was trending I agreed with most of them but some of them were just plain ridiculous. I saw someone accuse them of plagiarizing the alley scene because according to them ateez also filmed a scene in an alley...yeah so has the rest of kpop and pop in general. An alley is a common scene/set not an ateez thing. The worst part is that it had a lot of retweets. Like are yall for real right now??? Like please focus on the real problem and stop hyper focusing on such ridiculous things just because yall wanna hate. Its hard to take yall seriously when yall cry about stuff like that.

some moments in o.o's mv were plagiarized but hating on the company also doesn't make sense cause jype just provides money and hires different directors and their teams for mv and some people just don't know how much work goes into the making of the mv also, music can be judged objectively if the music production sucks. but most groups in kpop have good production quality apart from some low budget groups and I saw a comment somewhere that in sticker the flute is out of tune so it's a bad song but they still like it cause it fits their taste and because it's from nct. I also wanted yooyeon to debut I know she isn't that skilled and others were definitely better than her but for someone who has never performed before and never learned anything, she was quite good. expecting her to perform like trainees who have been training for years is wrong and many people argue that most first graders didn't have proper training but they were still better but it's because you learn faster when you are younger like they were more flexible and filled with energy so it was easy for them to follow dance. Also, it's like telling an athlete why they are bad at science.

My controversial personal opinion is that you dont need "powerful" vocals to be good at singing. In the kpop community fans base so much attention on high notes and deep voices and I am unimpressed when I hear idols sing a song with high notes, because most of the high notes are just a random scream in the middle of the song and the idols are pretty much straining their voices. I prefer a soft calm voice that sounds nice rather than someone thats screaming and growling. My second opinion is that Twice work their asses off to give us content and I hate when people start saying that they are untalented. This happened a lot in the past where people would make compilations slandering the hell out of twice. Jihyo Nayeon Jeongyeon have Godly voices Momo is in my opinion the most powerful dancer in gen 3, Mina studied Ballet for 10 years, etc. they are literally extremely talented but people say that to bring them down. Twice gave us in one year 7-8 comebacks with japanese songs and all and people be disrespecting them so much. They are literally icons in the kpop industry and they deserve the recognition they get

I feel like there's some misunderstanding with how some ppl view O.O. To me I didn't really like the song, but I think the reason the people call it a bad song (or should) has to do with the majority of the listeners not liking the song. You can like the song, but objectively speaking just based on the ratio of the ppl liking and not liking the song, it could not be considered a good debut for nmixx.

Is a "good debut" about good music or good publicity though? They got ALOT of attention. Whether it's haters or fans, alot of people are now waiting for their next song to see what's it like compared to their debut. I'd consider that pretty damn successful. I am not an nmixx fan and I didn't particularly care for O.O either. But it was catchy and now I'm interested in them. I don't think I've ever been immediately intrigued about a rookie group before the way I have been with Nmixx.

I would agree with a lot of opinions in this one but the singing technique one doesn't fits right. I mean you should be good at technique and notes , there are several people who are so talented in singing and are willing to be known as a singer , a good singer. They study and practiced it for years but if you are gonna side line it by saying people who became singers by just sounding good bareable with effects or some even without , it can be an insult to the ones I mentioned earlier. I wouldn't have been that serious regarding this put they professionally persued it as their career.

im actually happy I disliked the video after getting to the part where you said you wanted yooyeon to debut in classy. because what the actual hell. not even soyeon wanted her to debut. and she even regretted bringing her back to the show after seeing that she is not idol material. she can go be a model / actress. did she carry the show? no. did she have stage presence ever? no. the only factual thing that was said was that she needed and lacked training. These opinions weren't even mildly offensive tbh. Personally think bringing up pretty privilege in kpop to shame or bring someone down is kinda silly considering how beautiful everyone is, and how subjective taste is anyway. Maybe my only slight disagreement is that, while not everything is plagiarism, a lot of stuff definitely is, since plagiarism has been part of kpop since its inception. Even BTS leader RM has admitted to plagiarism and BTS is the biggest boy band in the world - and that's no shade to them, it's just so common in the industry that even a group that big and with that much creative control has done it.

I used to think the same but I started listening to the Spotify version out of curiosity and it sounds less awkward because there isn’t a pause before the second half of the song. Tbch the vocals and choreography really carried the instrumental overall and it’s a trip, but I think I’ve grown to like it mainly because of the choreography. The song might be ass but the choreo is so good😭😭
