@@archivalhorror I’m sorry but bent over is hilarious considering all the games I’ve played, usually without even paying the full $15 a month or whatever it is now. I don’t stay subbed, I only join back when there’s something I want to play and then there’s almost always a discount or sale, etc. It’s not financially viable for them in any way and I’ll take advantage of it until the day they wise up and get rid of it. Also, ownership is another thing as how many games are you really replaying that much? If I like a game, I’ll buy it day one digitally, everything else I can wait for and usually buy used physically. More options is always a plus.

Whoever made the decision to start Gamepass should be fired. 1. Indie devs are now showing concern over porting their games to Xbox/Gamepass because of the spending limits and no one buys games. 2.The huge marketing strategy behind Xbox is "Gamepass" which itself tells people they do not need a Xbox. Thus less revenue coming in for Xbox overall.

For a company that is determined to own nearly every IP outside of Nintendo, they're terrible at using them. A new Banjo title (going off your Doritos remark) would have been a no brainer, but never came... and then the Activision acquisition gave hope for Toys for Bob having a stab... only for Toys for Bob already having staff laid off and offices closed. They would make more money now just letting Nintendo borrow the IP and letting Playtonic or another dev team have a go at Banjo Threeie and push it on Switch 2 with its key demographic. More movements like that would make Microsoft/Xbox more cash than letting these IP's rot in a cupboard.
