So glad to find Jessica’s videos. My daughter was recently diagnosed with kyphoscoliosis. It has started impacting her breathing. I hope these exercises eventually help with that.

Kyphosis is an exaggerated, forward rounding of the upper back. In older people, kyphosis is often due to weakness in the spinal bones that causes them to compress or crack.

Hello from Boston MA. I shattered my T7 two years ago and have been in chronic pain ever since. Last xray showed a significant Kyphosis. Doc suggested PT but in my past experience with that it has been unhelpful. I stumbled across this video a few days ago. Put in an order for stretch bands. And just now finished the stretches. Day one. I'm so determined. Grateful for this. New subscriber sending love.

I have spinal stenosis along with the hyperkyphosis/scoliosis with some excessive anterior pelvic tilt on right (scoliosis lean side). My scapula's are stuck in wing. I've done PT for lumbar and hip issues, but never for hyperkyphosis. I believe the hyperkyphosis is what created all the issues to begin with (well, and high right foot arch). I'm constantly correcting upperback. It's exhausting 😪 What has help me the most out if PT even though nor addressing kyphosis is Core Stability Training.

Jessica you are amazing. I have vascular Ehlers Danlos. I am 64 and have kyphosis. I dislocate my shoulder and other joints and I subluxate some discs in my spine. I have no strength in all my muscles and must use an electric wheelchair. Do you have a suggestion on how I could do a similar exercise for my spine without being on my knees? I did the first series of movements without the use of the cord you had in your hands. I was very gentle with myself because I had a subluxated disc at the top of my spine. Well Jessica while doing the movements, I felt a move and pop as the subluxated disc went back into place. I cannot wait to tell my physio about the knowledgeable professional woman on KZbin. I have been seeing my physio every week since 2003.
