Not to mention saying deadlift is mostly back without talking about hamstrings and glutes... That's literally the first clue for any beginner lifter to make sure you are hinging properly and engaging your hamstrings...so you're not squatting the weight. Obviously people who only do squats don't have stellar deadlifts, both works the legs but different muscles.
@silo_olis27 күн бұрын
You need to get motocross athlete Chase Sexton on one of these. He does 405lbs deadlifts as part of his training. It'll help shed light on this sport that always gets severely underestimated. Motocross athletes are some of the toughest athletes out there, always at 180-190 heart rate for 36+ minutes, multiple times a day (during race day). Constantly experiencing tremendous G forces when taking corners, jumping, landing, the 250lb bike itself wanting to throw the rider off at every single bump. And these tracks get BUMPY, and RUTTY. You CAN NOT be sitting down on a motocross track. You are NOT just sitting and twisting the throttle. I'd love to see someone do just that, and see how long it takes them to fall and/or complete a lap :). I get defensive because people scoff at the idea of it being a sport when it has been shown it is one of the MOST physically and mentally demanding sports out there (race strategy, line choice, which gear should I be on? When do I brake? Front brake or rear brake? Is this jump face beat up and does it have a kicker at the lip I need to be prepared for, etc...) These athletes are lean muscle & cardio machines.

I wonder when it gets old that Magnus is pretending to be new to any of these lifts. It has been over half a decade on cam for him with these exercises. C'mon.

it’s a DYELs fav type of content to be like “size doesn’t matter! you can be skinny and super strong!” but they’re simply no where near comparing to magnus

Huh? Half a decade on cam with these exercises? Bro there are no videos of him doing deadlift on the internet. He clearly doesnt do them much if at all.

@qhayze huh? Many people are magnuses size and strength... go to your local powerlifting gym. . Many are even stronger than magnus.. he climbs he doesnt lift.

@qhayze many people are magnuses size and strength.. go to your local gym and youll find a ton of small guys lifting big numbers.

He did a bit with Juji. They went very slowly. I don't think it's dishonest to say he is a beginner with these lifts, he definitely doesn't train them regularly.
