I got a feeling they both do, but maybe the plaintiff was more conscious about not leaving anything around because it’s her daughter that could potentially come into contact with it! 🤷🏽‍♂️

🤔Sooooo her reasoning for not putting the defendant on the lease was because she had a child, but moved her in anyways what kinda sense did that make and if she says drugs were in the home, I'm pretty sure they were at work!! I think she just wanted to be able to control the situation and put her out when she felt like it!
@Nevaeh1

She probably wasn’t allowed to add people to the lease
@dbabies82

Basically, she wanted the ability to kick people out at her whim. If both were on the leash, she would have zero right to kick out a roommate. Basically, it's a control issue she has. And after listening to the defendant's testimony, it confirms it. For example, she would regularly break into the defendant's room just to see what was going on in there.

@@Nevaeh1 The landlord seems chill (let them get away without paying any rent for over half a year). So I'm sure they would have been ok if 2 people where on the least. Plus... it allows landlords to have the ability to sue more than one person, if more than 1 is on the lease.

In this day and age of videoing everything, I always take single consent video with a grain of salt. The person filming knows how to push the other persons buttons. They get them riled up, then start the video. Then they talk to them in a librarian toned manner. If that person is yelling and screaming it probably means the person filming communicates this way as well, they just know the camera is rolling.

It is beyond my comprehension how members of the general public, able to care for themselves, buy groceries, go to work, at the very least know how to tie their shoes, jump on videos posted to social media, that are started at the optimal point for the individual behind the camera, no context as to what lent into the situation, editing, etc. Where does logic go when these videos are viewed? Does no one take all these variables into consideration? Do they not just use some basic logic? We're doomed!

This case is very similar to my two friends, who are now former friends with one another, both were male exotic dancers at a club, making all that money, and had an unlivable living situation. One had two kids, twin boys, and didn't like to bring company back to the apartment, while the other kept bringing random women home. Took them years to patch things up after both left the apartment, but they aren't exactly friends anymore.

@@timomajere You have had a 14 year lease. Each year your lease gets RENEWED with new terms and conditions. If you sign a 24 month contract lease then the landlord COULD NOT raise rent unless it states they can in the lease and it would have to be specific they can’t just Willy nilly do whatever they want. There are laws.

No young woman. No. Friends don't 'normally fight all the time.' Friends fight sometimes, friends might even disagree on a number of issues. But friends generally sit down and have constructive discussions about what is going on rather than 'fighting all the time' about it. ETA: I just feel so sad for her that she believes that. I grew up in an abusive home and was taught to equate chaos/aggression/abuse/argument with 'love' and so that is what I (unconsciously) sought out in other relationships (romance, friendship, work, etc.) But, in healthy and healthy-enough relationships love feels good and supportive (and objectively love is good and supportive). I hope this young woman finds the help that she needs to work through her issues to help her find healthier relationships.
