I grew up with Arnold thrust in my face, he had an unfair advantage in my life simply from Hollywood. Later when I paid more of a mature look into what bodybuilding was and what it takes to even compete at an Olympia level, it was Haney. I love Yates, Cutler, Zane. Haney was in my eyes the king of the mtn.

Although I like dorian and felt like his mass was impressive… I’d have to agree. The influx of synthetic HGH, insulin, IGF, and whatever other peptides and weird stuff they added in the 90s and later on just absolutely ruined bodybuilding. Changed it from being impressive to, “wow, these guys are clearly on boatloads of drugs. This doesn’t resemble a natural human body in any way”

The thing Lee had over every other single bodybuilder is his roundness and his shoulder to waist ratio TRY FINDING THAT TODAY! His waist to shoulder ratio was insane and his back was one of the best ever in bodybuilding period His biceps were however not so strong. But everything else was there especial back chest and shoulders and legs were excellent too. The later ones Cutler, Coleman, and the rest had thick large waist. Dorian waist was ok at the beginning then it went to shit too. But Lee ALWAYS came in sharp and the smallest waist to shoulder ratio for the prefect symmetry of upper body every time. He had the smallest waist with the biggest back upper body ever.

This isn't quite the Mass Fuel video I remember, the one I actually have on VHS. The old Mass Fuel was an entire kit. It had a pre-workout protein shake, a post-workout shake, and the most GOD-AWFUL, ABYSMAL-TASTING protein bars that were the size of chalkboard erasers (imagine unsweetened baker's chocolate, mixed with sand or mud). There was also a manual to go with the video.

@@soulsergeant I get the impression he did barbell rows in a very explosive, checkmark-like fashion, meaning he didn't need to use as much weight to stimulate the faster twitch fibers in the back, along the lines suggested by Fred Hatfield. I find his back training especially interesting because he seemed to have a unique way of doing basic exercises and developed one of the best backs of all time without a remarkable amount of weight or injury. Would really like to understand it better.

Depends on individual's shoulder mobility and arm length. These guys are genetically gifted and of course have stronger, more resilient joints and ligaments something no gear can provide. But there are plenty of alternative to these exercises. For shoulders cables can be replaced with free weights. Again Lee is a great trainer and understands his sport very well but a physical trainer is always your best bet for strength training, everyone is built different and can have certain shortcomings. ✌️
