My husband neuropathy (tingling and numbness) began in his toes in his 50's. I took him to a hospital clinic and they tested him and said, "Yes, you have neuropathy starting." But they offered no treatment, or cure. So he did nothing. Now he is age 79 and has severe neuropathy and nerve damage. He also has high arches, hammertoes, and suspected CMT (Charcot Marie Tooth Disease.) He sees a neurologist (and a foot doctor) but they say this; "There is no treatment, no cure See you in 6 months." What a waste of our time, co-pay etc.

Thank you for the well explained diagnosis and treatment. I am 78 yrs old suffering from hands, feet and legs numbness, tingling and like fibgernails and toenails are wrapped in barbed wires. I have fibromyalgia, scoliosis, sciatica. Had laminectomy in 2001 and has been doing good with my daily routine doung household chores and hobby like sewing, gardening, house repairs and dancing. But in April 2023, I was dancing the cha cha, one turn and I was there on the floor not knowing what happened. Then after, I found it so hard doing my he dishes, preparing food and I lost feelings in my hands and feet. Since Sept., it has gotten worst because like toes and fingernails are with pinprickng sensationand I can not walk properly. I am now like a child learning to walk. Thank you Dr. Cooper. I take gabapentin, tumeric and b complex and omega 3. I am going try alpha lipoeic acid. Thank you again and more power. God bless you all who are trying to help people through your chanel.

when watching this video, you mentioned if a person has numbness & tingling in both feet & it doesn't improve when you sit, stand or walk it's very likely to be peripheral neuropathy . Mine improves when I do those things, especially standing & walking. Laying down in bed is when the symptoms are at it's worst, preventing me getting to sleep & staying asleep when I eventually do sleep. Burning pain, pins & needles, stiff joints in my toes & feet, especially the top of my left foot. It feels like I have very heavy, tight working boots on when the stiff, tight feeling begins within a 5 minute period & lasts all night. When it's really unbearable I have to get up & pace the floor for awhile but as soon as I get back into bed the symptoms start up again. The same thing is happening in my left arm, left leg, left hand & fingers, my mouth, gums & tongue everyday of my life for the last 3 years. I have had tests, tried different modalities, spent a small fortune on supplements. I can relate to the feeling wrapped in barb wire comment someone made in the comments. Thank you for the video, very informative, no one has ever suggested what it could be. What kind of a doctor are you, what do you specialize in exactly please?

I've been diagnosed with neuropathy in my legs. So I have numbness in my feet and I got no strength in my legs so I have a hard time getting up I can't push myself up. I have to hold on to something to get up anyways. Can you help me or let me know what's causing this? I've been to a Doctor same Doctor about 3 times and he keeps telling me.I have neuropathy but I don't have diabetes thank you. I also don't have any balance.

I was getting shots in my hips as I had pain down my legs. I bought an inversion table and haven’t had a shot. When my back or legs get sore, I just get on inversion table and rock to help my lymph nodes to drain. It’s been 15 years

Very good- recent L5 compression fracture, also one 3 years prior- no pain, no tingling just symmetric numbness above ankle to top of both feet. Can electrical testing locate the source? Is there a video you have produced? Thanx- great work!

Yes an EMG is generally the best way to trace out the nerves and find the problem. One note - electrodiagnostic testing (emg/ncs) only checks the peripheral nerves so if there is a central problem (like brain or spinal cord itself) then it won’t show that.

I have a herniated disc at L5-S1 with a posterior annular tear. The dermatone shows the S1 root nerve is the problem since I have numbness in right heel, to outside of foot to pinkie toe. I also can’t get up on toes, plantar flexion paralysis and calf muscles are not working. This is week 5. I’ve had prolotherapy injections. No longer in pain, but concerned about numbness in right foot. I am doing Stuart McGills Big 3, nerve glides and using a band for resistance on plantar flexion, Mackenzie push up. The Dr is suggesting I see a nuero surgeon for consultation. Have you seen clients/patients with this same herniated disc/annular tear reverse the numbness without surgery? Do you recommend anything more than I’m doing. I’m healthy, very active. Never had surgery ever. Any advice?

He says how rare a sciatic nerve release is, I have had so many injections and physical therapy sessions that didn't help and had 3 surgeries for the sciatic nerve and it was the only thing that worked.

The doctor forgot I was allergic to lexisan and put me on a tread mill machine. I felt my left big toe being pulled. I told him what I felt and he stopped. I am an 82 year old woman. I am having tingling and numbness in my feet and lower legs ( knee down). I do not have much pain, but do have some. The bottoms of my feet are ‘’mushy.’’. I some feel like I am walking through jello. I have a history of back problems. Two spinal fusions, the two lowest. These were years ago both before 1980. Around 2015, I was diagnosed with with spinal stenosis. I was treated with steroid shots and my back painand feet numbness improved. Over the years since, the feet and legs problems have gotten worse. I assumed it was caused by my stenosis and have just lived with it. Perhaps I should seek help again.

I have the tingling on my right leg from the knee up (like one hand measure) Only happens when I’m standing up for to long but started a month ago. I have 2 hernias on my cervical (C5-6) and lack cartilage… also a spinal lardosis; genetic problem add up to high colesterol and triglyceride although I’m 9 stone; can that be the cause for my tingling?! I have dropfoot on left anclle and slight dropfoot on right ancle. + numnes in heels and toes no pains. Im operated 2 times for spinal stenuosis in L2 L3 and L 3 and L4. No pain anymore after first operation i had no dropfoot but developed it year after. Got operated in L3 L4 2 years later with no result. I do suspect L5 S1 problem but Mri scanning says no indication of pinced nerve. Then i had electronic measuring on feet. And with no proper conclution. Went to university hospital in moscow Russia, a doctor there suspects some kind of mineral deficiency, But no answer yet. I walk and do hikes in mountains using sticks also bycycle a lot.

I never really find anything that’s even similar to what I have. At present I’m doing well because I have been put on Lyrica, but I could do without that quite happily. I have had severe burning, tingling and numbness on the left side of my left foot and ankle. I could not sleep and I also had numbness in my little toe and adjacent toe. I did find that actually if I exercise those two toes the numbness was alleviated, and in many cases would disappear. I have mobile toes that could alleviate a lot of the numbness. Towards the end and what made me decide to go on Lyrica was that I also had twitches in my leg, and the top of my tibia would constantly get a sharp numbing pain. This was on top of the burning, tingling and numbness.. All this has disappeared with Lyrica, but I don’t know whether I’m going to have to keep increasing that, or whether it will be effective for a while… I hope. I am not happy on medication, but I am happy to be able to sleep at night because I could not sleep at night. The burning was intense. I put up with the tingling and the numbness, but the burning was impossible to ignore, nobody hazard a guess as to why I have this though. I think there are many reasons I have a foot that is flat and pronates in word, for one thing. my right foot is not quite as flat and it pronates outward. I also have a problem with my spine that I have spinal stenosis of my lumbar spine. To top all that off I am 86. I also have a straight spine and I’ve had that all my life as far as I’m concerned and my doctor tells me that my spine tips towards my right side. I am a mess.

Thanks for the vid doc…I noticed my 2nd n 3rd toes on my left foot feeling numb last summer and was aware that my cross legged/kneeling sitting habits (when able to sit) may have been the cause, especially considering I’d have to stretch out every half hour when my foot goes numb (only to go right back to sitting like that and it be an ongoing cycle)..but after making the effort to change how I sit (as well as the exercises I saw online), that considerable numb/tingly whilst walking went away, but I was still left with the just top of those toes feeling mostly numb and a nervy tingling along the top of my foot, I’d even especially feel that tingling when wiggling or even stretching out my those toes or flex my foot…guess it was wishful thinking that they’d just get better too in time but they still feel the same. Then I’d forget about it and start sitting cross legged again if I failed to catch myself doing so…I even badly sprained my ankle as a result of my left foot (as usual) going numb and it rolling from to rushing to walk on it before the feeling adequately returned. I already suffer from severe RLS (for which I take oxycodone & pregabalin) so it really suck to know that I’ve potentially and repeatedly injured myself during the times I’ve actually been able to sit 😔😔😔…incidentally the nature of my meds keep regular visits with my GP every 3 months (next one being 2 weeks from now) and after watching your vid I’m now compelled to let him know to really get the ball rolling n sort it out because the wishful thinking has unfortunately done nothing to aid in my recovery lol. It’s embarrassing how foolish I’ve been that I didn’t address this sooner🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️. How can someone who is old & has a left leg THR? Along with AS,FM,OA & PA. Along with COPD?? Do U happen to know anyone in LA,Ca or S.M. I’ve been taking all this natural medication and it will never heal. Just tolerating and adjusting my lifestyle. My spine has arthritis, severe curve to left. Feet , legs go numb, cramps severe. Tear in hip. Will be in wheel chair eventually. 🤷‍♀️ good luck , is all we can do to lessen pain.
