@@jane_7193 Hey Jane, there's a song with the same melody in the chorus from a few years earlier and that chorus ist about you. 😀 It says: "Jane came by with a lock of your hair, she said that you gave it to her that night that you planned to go clear." It's the song "Famous Blue Raincoat" by Leonard Cohen. I guess they took the melody for the chorus from that song.

I found this 45 in a thrift store when I was 18 or 19 years old. That was when I began to really fall in love with 70's soft rock, through the records I'd find every week. Now I'm 53, and I still listen to this music all the time. It takes away any stress and makes me so happy. Nothing else compares!

This song was actually written by Albert Hammond who wrote a few hits of his own, namely “It never rains in California” and “Free electric band”, he also co-wrote “Nothing’s Gonna Stop us now” a hit for Starship. Oh and “All I need is the air that I breathe”.

Hon.... you will never get over the loss. I lost my baby brother in April of 92. That shit never goes away. However, what you can do is make an attempt to go AROUND the hurt. It is important to understand that our loved ones never left us. Look for pennies, feathers & other signs. All you have to do is ask them to come visit you. It may not be on your timeline, but the REAL spirits will drop in. As soon as I realized that my brother was still around, I was able to be in less pain . You will know if the visit is real or not. Many hugs to you.

Endless Flight was one of the first albums I owned. Loved the pure emotion of When I Need You from the beginning and it became my parent's song. Since they both passed in 2018 and 2022, I tear up every single time this song plays on the 70s station. Nothing brings on that emotion like this song.

This song had to be written and performed. It so sad that for thousands of years people never got to hear it, but since Leo Sayer finally did it, all of us are all the more rich for hearing it.

I was putting up my calendar for the new year and the January through December lyric came running thru my mind and I kept singing it until I recalled what song it fit into and here I am. Absolutely beautiful songs as were all of Ronnie Milsap's. Love to Ronnie from Bowling Green KY. Your home of Beech Bend Park!!!

Dear Gilbert~ I was six years old when first I heard this song. It gave me tears. (A child, but an empath at any age, it turnd out.) Thank you for penning this level of authentic suffering in the human experience. I hope Life and the Love of God have brought you Beauty, Hope, Renewal, despite the profound losses. I wish for you all things Precious and the Heart of God to find you, Always. I have had my share of profound, rare tragedy; and forgiveness and the Heart of a Real God that has been with me through it all has been the currency of my healing and restoration. Don’t know if you will read this, but hope it is a good read for someone.

dear Leo ... Among the songs I have heard, this song made me crazy. Only someone who truly loves these lyrics can write and sing this seriously. Oh, I am also someone who has truly loved, so I feel these things well. As you say, I love your song and your voice more than I will today or tomorrow. ❤❤❤Thanks to you and everyone who created this.
