teddie eddie Something about KZbinrs telling their viewers that college is not necessary or the “college is a scam” bullshit unsettles me. Probably because these people drop out of school and the money they made was based on luck or being pretty. College isn’t everything but it is important depending on what you want to do. its not even that. I understand why she might think that way. Cuz yes college is expensive and you might not find a job that you earned the degree in. But she immediate requests the care of a professional that has completed that higher level education she scorns upon. If she belittles the nurses and PAs how can she expect to be treated on the same level of others. Rebecca right!! i understand not going to college, it’s not for everyone! i actually thought she presented the topic pretty well: these days the idea of going to college is pretty much shoved down our throats, so i found it refreshing that she gave others an option they may not have thought of before. plus, there are plenty of jobs available that don’t require a degree to make a decent amount of money, so this idea is not unique to influencers
@Happymochis775 жыл бұрын
Rebecca in my honest opinion she did not display that idea very well. To me it seemed she was trying to get that idea through but it just didn’t because in the videos I watched it seemed like she was like any other youtuber who didn’t go to college and they focus on their channel which by all means is fine I’m happy for her honestly. And also she stated one reason was because her boyfriend ryan had kinda influenced her into not going, honestly this is what I got from it but we all have our own opinions. I 100% agree with the idea that college isn’t for everyone and that it’s not something that everyone NEEDS to do. I myself took some time off school and went back like you said there’s time where you realize maybe you need it maybe you don’t. I also wanna suggest watching enjajaja’s college video she kinda expressed how she felt pressure with pleasing her family and felt as if she owed her education to her parents. What kinda really sets me off about entitled KZbinrs is that they’re constantly asking their viewers to buy their merch, use their link, use their code, become a Patreon to get extra content, all that and then these KZbinrs act like a-holes. They get mad when their fans question their spending habits, they treat retail workers/anyone with a job like garbage, and when people are mad they complain about their expensive trips, the KZbinrs will say “you’re not a real fan, you’re a hater.” They have made their career from everyday working people watching their vids, and they pay their fans back by being entitled brats. Also, loved this video! 💜

Also I know it is a pain in the butt but i would recommend you just use the term PA or the correct expanded term which is Physician Assistant. The worst part for me of her video was when she admitted that she LIED when she told the nurse that her stomach hurt when she was examined. Then she got upset when the nurse took that information that it could possibly be appendicitis. As a licensed nurse myself, it is incredibly frustrating when you ask a patient something, and they get upset when you infer something to be true from the information that just told you. JUST SAYING
@shinyumbreon6965 жыл бұрын
I thought the same thing! If she indicated she had rebound tenderness, of COURSE the nurse immediately thought appendicitis--it's a surgical emergency and if you ignore it, people can die. I don't expect Haley to understand medicine, but it's not unreasonable to expect her not to blame the nurse for coming to an incorrect diagnosis when she gave her faulty information to begin with.

Does she think that nurses and PA's are practicing independently from MD's???????? Even if they only spend sixty seconds on their case, everything is signed off by an MD
@lisacovington32355 жыл бұрын
I don't know anything about this KZbinr being discussed but I can say that when I make an appointment with my doctor and I all paying my doctor, I expect to see my doctor. If they want to defer to PAs, that is fine but the patient has the right to know who will be seeing them and to not be billed at the full doctor's rate. The education requirement between a PA and a full MD are significant enough to just a lesser billing fee.
@jennajune21015 жыл бұрын
Lisa Covington Thank you, I completely agree. My mother in law constantly is being deferred to the PA at her MD’s office. I mean yeah, it's not what some may call a 'stable' job but honestly who tf cares ? it doesn't affect you . it doesn't affect the way you live your life . but comments like this impacts her life . honey, people are *dying* because of this, mental health is a serious issue and this is contributing to it . if you don't know what's going on , don't comment . watch her video that explains it all and then maybe think about posting something . sorry that not everyone goes to the best school, she had educators that impacted her life in a negative way . don't say insensitive things like this on the internet, it's her life, not yours .

I know it is a pain in the butt but i would recommend you just use the term PA or the correct expanded term which is Physician Assistant. There are no possesives or plurals within the medical title uless you are referring to multiple people who are all Physician Assistants

As a Greek American (whose majority of family lives in Greece) I am so hurt and offended, there is so much we miss out on because of the distance and we almost never see them because of the cost of traveling. Hearing her words about how the places she went to were boring and blaming her mistakes on the economic issues was very unfair because, as you mentioned, Greece's income is based solely on tourism. She was fortunate enough to experience the culture, views, and European life but she took it for granted because she wanted to be like Kylie Jenner.

Going off with the whole PA situation I went to the ER because I was having heart palpitations, and they sent me to a nearby facility where they had heart doctors. One doctor walked in, told me I was too young to have heart problems, and walked out and discharged me. I went to a PA, and she found out that I have tachycardia and an enlarged atrial valve. If that doesn't show you that physician assistants are amazing, I don't know what will.

Hayley tachycardia literally means fast heart rate. That might seem irregular to a physician but it usually just means you’re nervous, stressed, or are doing physical activity. Sometimes tachycardia is a symptom of a bigger issue but it doesn’t sound like it in this scenario because there was no further work such as an EKG, echocardiogram, or any bloodwork.

Wether I'm going to nuerology, cardiology, obgyn, or just my primary care office..when given the option I ALWAYS chose a Nurse Practioner instead of a Dr/Md. I started handling my own heakthcare at 18 and at 22 I realized that anytime I dealt with a NP instead of the Dr I had a much more thorough and personable expirience. I trust their knowledge and expertise...and their honesty! Anytime they have been unsure i am not given a run around or ordered extra tests to just rule out unnecessary things. They've said "im not very familiar with this. Let me get the opinion of someone with more knowledge before we move forward" and it has saved me time and stress as well as myself and my insurance lots of money. Yes...I have seen some doctors that care and go above and beyond but I usually feel like they are to rushed to really dig into the problem. Whereas with NPs I ALWAYS feel like I am cared about, listened to, and given the time and attention I am paying for. It's like despite how over worked they are, the patient never is sacrificed.
@bobbobber43095 жыл бұрын
Also....I have never had a nurse that I have felt like "wasn't educated enough". Something about nurses and NPs just always give the impression that they chose their field because that's what they love. Where as Drs can give the impression that they love their check...which may be more so a problem due to how flawed the system is and how over worked they can be. But nurses and NPs are just as over worked and also underpaid....Idk I may be the only person to see this difference in the way I've been cared for!
@ForeverLumoz5 жыл бұрын
Exactly! It wasn't really doctors who saved my life when I contacted Meningitis 9 years ago (at 24 years old). It was nurses and those who take blood and analyse it (here they are called Chemil and Biotechnological Analysts and I'm one myself). Those nurses were actually trying to help me and figure out what was killing me, while my doctors stubbornly thought that it was 'just' a tick bite - but I was in a coma and had been paralysed before going into a coma. And I know there's a lot of really good doctors, mine sucked, but I really don't like someone badmouthing nurses and such, because that's those who keeps everything up and running and patients alive until a doctor can acces the symptoms.
@jennw24795 жыл бұрын
I’m graduating as an NP in 2 months and I appreciate this! I have loads of experience as an ICU RN along with my NP school work and clinicals. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had a patient say ‘thank you for LISTENING! No one will listen and really HEAR me’ after being sent to specialist after specialist. The patient gets the best care when the whole healthcare team works together but NP/PAs have the education and experience to assess and diagnose and if they are stumped (as some of even the best physicians can be) you ask a colleague!
@ladav75755 жыл бұрын
Bob Bobber we’re just trained more holistically to see the person as a whole. As well, within our education, we are always taught to seek out answers if we don’t know. Im so thankful that some people have noticed a difference. Ultimately I’m so happy that I picked nursing rather than the medicine route. My goal is to do 5-10 years of bedside nursing in oncology, then do my masters to be an NP. ❤️

Not only do they have to deal with the often pain/fatigue-induced attitudes of patients and their families but also the often ego-induced attitudes of the doctors. In several of my hospital stays it has been a nurse that has saved my life. They deserve all the respect in the world!

Before a horrific work accident left me permanently disabled, I was a paralegal, and, let me tell you, like nurses keep doctors from inadvertently killing innocent patients, paralegals save attorneys from being disbarred more times per day than we would ever be given credit for. We just get spoken to and treated as invisible untouchables with everyone forgetting we know the law just as much, if not MORE than the attorneys and then some.
