@@Clouleen it is racist when she’s stereotyping black and Latino men and basically mocking our culture to make herself seem more “cool.” Bc those same Black and Latino men are seen as “thugs” and “drug lords” bc of their appearance and racism but it’s okay for Jesy to use that as an aesthetic. And also she’s equating the idea of being “hood” and acting less classy with a whole entire race and ethnicity. Why does “hood boys” equal black and Latino men but not white boys who have boats and live in the suburbs? 🤔 just food for thought since this isn’t racist.

To me, the whole concept of this song, 'liking bad boyz' is super cringy. When I was a teenager in the 90s, gangster rap was big and so liking bad boys kind of went hand in hand with that. Then gangster rap matured into rap about being a responsible parent and working hard instead of slangin dope. Girls also matured from 'liking bad boys' to wanting a grown-ass man who can take care of himself without needing his girl to bail him out. Basically, I feel like this song came out 25 yrs too late.

@valentine67902 жыл бұрын
I have a genuine question, what's wrong with being racially ambiguous? I've had friends think Mariah Carey was a white woman even though she's mixed, I don't know the definition of racially ambiguous but, wouldn't that apply? Are you supposed to act a certain way because of your race? If so, wouldn't that be fueling the stereotypes made that "xyz group is always ____" ? And it feels weird to tell people to just, stay in your race, stay in your boundaries, if you go out of it, you're wrong for doing so and should be ashamed. And wouldn't that be a form of discrimination? You can't do stuff because of how you look? I couldn't hear the video as I'm in a loud place, but ill get back to you if u do reply :) But back 2 other thingz... I don't personally agree with most of the things the like "cultural appropriation" pushes. Mostly as, when I personally see someome experiment in my race ((like wearing hairstyles you would commonly see on black people)), I get very happy that people enjoy it and don't criticize it like most people would do, and I feel safe, and I will never understand the idea that "black people don't get praised for it, so making sure other races don't get that praise is key to making it come to black people". But what if that doesn't work, you further stigmatize it and could make a person like "I will not compliment people on this at all because it's a slippery slope to go on". But that's my 2 cents, reply with other opinions . :)

(edit: Also it’s not about if you personally see a black person, it’s if people genuinely mistake her for a black woman, that’s where the problem is.) this is why i hate jesy and nicki now, i was a huge fan of all the little mix members but i don’t like how nicki pushed herself into the conversation and ripped leigh anne apart whilst jesy literally laughed. it shows the lack of care they both have and their true colours. Jesy was darker than nicki in that video and Nicki said how other people tan but there’s a clear line that jesy has crossed, it has gotten to that point where people have MISTAKEN jesy’s race when she was warned. Leigh anne did confront jesy but she did this all privately and had no INTENTION to publicly humiliate jesy in any way. Leigh has started no drama. nicki and jesy however have gone on an INSTAGRAM LIVE with like 100k+ views and even without saying any names clearly attacked leigh anne publicly with the intention to try and humiliate her. Also let’s talk about the music video and what the song is about. Jesy quit little mix due to mental health reasons and to take a break she spent 2 months off maybe less before she was was back in the studio. I’m not saying jesy doesn’t have mental health because what she’s been through would definitely cause something like that but what i’m saying is that she most likely used her mental health to exit the group. I personally think Jesy used the group to raise her fame and when the time was right she would leave and become popular. Jesy doesn’t appreciate how lucky she was and IS. The fact Jesy is minimising leigh anne’s problems. if we go back a few years where leigh anne had a bottle thrown at her for assumed racism, jesy never came and asked if her band mate was okay. And if she truly didn’t want nicki to say anything about the band mates it’s still her fault for not defending the girls who have been by her side for a literal DECADE. That’s betrayal and she stabbed her sisters in the back. shame on nicki and jesy

Why is it that when someone's accused of something, their or their friend/fan/mum's first defense is: well, look at that person doing the same thing? I know that it's unfair to feel like someone's being criticised more than other people - I get that completely - but Ariana, Iggy and Rita Ora doing the same thing doesn't minimise Jesy doing it - and yes, they should all be held equally accountable though.

i've been a casual fan of little mix for around 6 years and this entire time i thought jesy was biracial

Just to be clear: I am so glad that Jesy was able to get the help she needed and had a FAILED suicide ATTEMPT(I wish she never got to the point of even contemplating suicide but the world sucks so...) however I do not support her not defending someone she claimed was her "sister" for almost 10 years when a big artist with a notoriously toxic fanbase comes after her. Doing braids in the video was in bad taste and not defending Leigh Anne seemed to be the cherry on top of her betrayal. Leigh Anne is literally so sweet and caring and I've never heard of anyone (celebrity or fan) ever had anything mean to say to her. I feel like I and a lot of other Little Mix fans were really looking forward to seeing Jesy coming into her own but THIS??... This ain't it sis🤦🏾♀🤦🏾♀💔💔 Also Jesy has always had naturally curly hair, the only blackfishing has to do with her EXCESSIVE tan, the braids she wore and so forth. TRUST ME, I saw someone on TikTok who thought she made her hair curly specifically for the video and all the Barbs in the comments essentially told that person to kill themselves *sigh* God, it's brutal out here...

Nicki being ignorant and unecessary Whats new?

Leigh-Anne is one of several black women that Nicki and her stans have thrown under the bus because they had the audacity to raise legitimate concerns about her behavior. These people totally lack self-awareness

Lets be clear Leigh-anne is a biracial woman but i do agree with u...nicki loves to speak on things and attention when the situation has nothing to do with her

@@kelaa8370 leeAnn is a biracial woman but she stands for a black woman Nikki who is fully black looks lighter than Leanne. If we go back in time Leanne will stand for a black woman not a biracial not a white person because the skin color is darker than white. That’s what black fishing means it doesn’t mean what culture you are anything like that it means you’re making your skin color darker than what it is .lol 😂
