Some neighborhoods can be very close-knit, and his neighbors could be protecting him. Either way, that story was nuts. I truly hope for some kind of conclusion, whether it was real or made-up.

I remember those times. If a boy/man gave you attention we girls/women were supposed to feel 'lucky' and 'grateful'. Few men understood the term 'unwanted affection' and most (if not all!) of the police officers were men. It was years of public discussion and women being violated before any actions were taken against stalkers, prior to them hurting their victim/s. I am so sorry it happened to you. I can't even imagine the emotional upheaval that you had to live with daily.🌷🌸🍀

These stories freak me out because I had two stalkers…both named Andrew. They believed we were dating and I barely knew who they were. One knew my work schedule and routine..would show up at my friend’s house daily. He’d call me 22 Times in a row from different numbers. I was under 17. He was at least 21. I asked a state trooper to go to his home one day and haven’t seen him since.

Regarding the last story, I think the MIL and her son had been planning their escape for a while. I think MIL starting all the accusations against David was her setting the plan into motion. I also think she and her son had an “unhealthy” connection to each other and this was their escape plan to be together. Sadly, I do think they killed the poor, innocent rescue dog to convince the police that they were dead, too. The MIL had plenty of money, they went out of the country and established a new life for themselves together. If I was the abandoned wife, I do think I would show the daughter the photo, now that she is old enough to handle the truth. They could decide whether to search MIL and son out, or let things stand as they are. Personally, I’d hunt them down and not let them get away with their actions. I think the police would also be interested in finding them. I’d show the police the photo and enlist their help in finding MIL and son. Surely laws were broken in faking their own deaths and disappearing as they did. They probably established new identities, etc. An update would be awesome if one is ever made available!

@@Digitt6I have a theory. What if husband wanted to get out, so he had his mom help him with the plan. I think she took the photo because she knew her daughter in law would notice if it had gone missing and therefore she would have an excuse for flying back under disguise of wanting to protect her son and his family. I understood from the story that the mother in law was the one ‘seeing neighbour’ lurking around and telling everyone how suspicious he was, she might’ve been creating alibi for all this time.
