I remember watching an older video and Joel explaining how he had to take down a huge amount of videos because he hadn't gotten full approval to use some of the stories he was narrating. He said his subscriber count was increasing by hundreds of thousands a week, if not a day, but after that mishap the algorithm decreased and his channel took a huge hit in subscribers. I've been listening to him narrate for a few years now and this is my favorite channel. I'm happy to see him finally reach over 1 mil. I can't imagine how big this channel would be had he not had to take down those videos early on.

As I progress through story 3, I find myself thinking the following. Some cops are a bit slow, eh? I'm gonna say, bang bang, he dead. He'd finally pushed her too far. edit: And...bingo. Another thing, I take issue with the cops use of "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned". Having the living snot beaten out of you, repeatedly to the point of being lucky to be alive, is not being merely effing scorned. Only a misogynistic prick can define constant physical, and no doubt other, abuse as being scorned.

It doesn’t seem realistic because it’s not a true story lol. Missing persons cases and Homicides are investigated by only the most experienced detectives, generally those at the end of their career who have literally thousand of cases under their belt and would be able to “solve” this in a heartbeat. It makes for a good revenge fiction I guess.
@samanthaedwards3742
@samanthaedwards3742 Жыл бұрын
@@WILLGRAYY sorry I’m rly stoned so I’m a lil sure on what u mean. I thought it was just normal cops coming to her door to interview her for domestic violence disturbance . They didn’t know there were a murder . Right ? Idk I’m confused why u think there’s proof it’s not true
@christracy2144
@christracy2144 Жыл бұрын
@@samanthaedwards3742 You're not confused. If you're that sharp stoned, I'm impressed. I don't get what the previous comment was about either as there was no murder reported at the time. Beat cops responding to a domestic violence call so no idea why they're talking about experienced old super cops "solving" anything at that point. It was up to the first responders to determine if and what crime had been committed before calling in the big guns. The behaviour displayed by the wife was so typical that in my view this story is based in truth. I also think a lot of women recognise the scenario and will have guessed exactly where the story was headed. I realised the minute the cop said she was relaxed on the steps outside holding frozen peas to her bruises. You don't do that while the threat is still current. What sealed it for me though was "it's not for me to say". I took that as her not being willing to say heaven or hell as she was not qualified to state that for certain.
@WILLGRAYY
@WILLGRAYY Жыл бұрын
@@samanthaedwards3742 No worries, no need to apologize lol. Any and all domestic violence cases legally require that an arrest be made on the scene. In this case, with the claimed abuser “Missing,” a detective would immediately be called to canvas the scene and track down the missing party and make a subsequent arrest. It’s important to note that these are one of the few types of arrests that do not require hard evidence of wrong doing, suspicion of abuse is enough. The story reads as if the person writing it doesn’t have any knowledge of these laws, which doesn’t make sense if it’s from the perspective of someone claiming to be a police officer. Of course, that doesn’t mean situations like this aren’t real. I’m sure something like this has taken place before, but I have doubts about the veracity of this story.

The end of story 4 - all those cursed random people pulling out their effing cellphones to record a dying man's last breaths, to put the footage online FOREVER for clicks, cash and everyone's entertainment - that's THE main reason for me refusing to leave my flat; I'm old, chronically/terminally ill and logically I didn't grow up with phones, bc they simply didn't exist back then and I genuinely miss those innocent times with less voyeurism. Alone the thought, that this can happen to me while having a medical emergency is equally terrifying and humiliating, as it's completely inhumane ... including the awful idea, that in a worst case scenario I'm not even dead afterwards, but the butt of an online joke I'm kinda still forced to know about. Add to this, that I've a patient's will not allowing resuscitation (etc), NOBODY - meaning first responders - are obliged to honour during an emergency and you get the full picture, why I don't count on "not surviving anyways", (so why would I care, right?). & So I really don't understand, that there aren't several millions more chronically and terminally sick folks with this type of deep rooted anxiety out there - bc I honestly can't imagine, that their own fear of a close death, a fact I've made peace with a very long time ago, could be sooo much worse than this - and btw, I've realized there's truly nothing I miss outside, I'm actually happy I don't have to see all those shallow people including "life saving god-like (deeply selfish) EMT heroes" aka first responders, who of course don't have to live with my non existing quality of life but who want me to survive at all costs and to "live" it.

I really enjoy the police stories man. It's really hard to find any new police stories I guess because there's so few channels covering them or they are just not as widely popular as the other topics but I hope you do many more of the police stories, it really gets the public more aware to what police officers have to go through when people are constantly fed lies about the police and they already have a stressful and heartbreaking job, on top of that their jobs are misunderstood. I am very passionate about police and the job they have to do and how misunderstood they are as well as the public being so misinformed and misled with information from the media that always paints police in a bad light when the overwhelming vast majority of police are good people who want to do good for their community, anyway I'm rambling. Hope to see more police stories for sure!
