It explains the story of how Luke and co. made their final stand against Palpatine and even turned his own granddaughter to the light in order to defeat him. To explain the absence of the Legends cast we’ll just say they’re off on some super important sidequest or something idk. Point being they’re not around to help when the First Order takes over. Once again you people get the history all wrong. Splinter of the mind's eye was written by Dean Foster with permission from George Lucas. George Lucas was not going to make a low budget sequel if Star Wars did not do as well as he hoped. In fact he was not going to make any more Star Wars at all. Splinter from The Mind's eye was published in 1979. I know! I purchased one of the first copies. Shortly after seeing The Empire Strikes Back I saw Splinter of the Mind's eye on a bookshelf in Target. I purchased it with my allowance money. This I remember because I read that book from cover to cover three or four times waiting to see Return of the Jedi. It was such an easy read. It was discontinued when Return of the Jedi was released. Lucas would not allow it be published again until the 90s.

I KNEW IT!!! Every time I watch Episode II: Attack of the Clones and The Clone Wars, I can tell that Count Dooku doesn't know that Palpatine and Darth Sidious are the same person. In fact, if you've watched Phantom Menace and then Attack of the Clones, I can tell that Dooku doesn't know much at all about Darth Sidious. And I always notice that a whole lot of people never notice that, and will immediately think I've said something that makes no sense until they go back and watch all interactions between Dooku and Sidious in Clone Wars. So the novelization is what threw me for a loop. That Revenge of the Sith novelization is different. As far as I could tell, if Dooku ever knew anything at all, it had to have been only a moments before his death that he realized it, but only if he ever knew at all; but the novelization made it seem as if Dooku already knew that Palpatine and Sidious are the same person. Now that I see this video, I'm very sure of it, now, that the writer of the novelization, just like a lot of other people, never noticed how careful all interactions were written for Clone Wars so that you never see Dooku say or do anything that would indicate that he knew who Darth Sidious is.
@vitorhugobacicpessoavidal54482 жыл бұрын

I don't know about that. Even just taking into account the sources you mentioned dooku clearly knows about sidious's plans. He knew about order 66 and he conspires in plans to give chancellor palpatine more power (the arc with Clovis and the banking clan in clone wars season 6 is one example) It's interesting to think about though. Sidious always wears his disguise when speaking with dooku, which you could interpret as not letting his persona of palpatine be known to dooku I'm not entirely convinced that George intended for dooku to not know who sidious was. Mainly because I don't think he would have faith in his grand plan. But the idea isn't too far out there for me to reject

If they had wanted to be canon, they should have adapted to the material that grew from the decades in between the films. Star Wars is by no means George Lucas' to do with as he pleases anymore. If he had wanted it to be, he would have had his lawyers read each and every of the above products, and determined at that point what things were and were not canon. Disney's Star Wars isn't canon because the stories is a bout anakin and the story ends when he dies. Also I think George Lucas knows more about the universe he created then Disney.Disney just wants to make more content for money that is not needed e.g the sequels.But they did do some great stuff with the madelorian and clone wars series.But the sequels aren't needed there is no story Disney's biggest mistake will always be bring back Palpatine.I just stick to the first 6 movies as canon.Disney keeps making remakes of everything just for money like the new marvel heros just why they are not as good and also not needed.Not hate towards the actors ever though it's not their fault I just think that when a brand purchases another they should stick to what was invisioned and not make up something that never happened like episode 7,8,9 they should make it a what if he some how survived and not try to make it canon when the story ended 3 episodes ago.

George Lucas did a Good job with Darth Vader’s Story, but his Grand Vision was Limited and sorely Lacking, that’s at least the One good thing Disney has done: They at least Properly Tried.

What would be good is if they would remove the prequels from Canon.
