Thank you for watching this powerful interview with Mark Hyman!
Check out the show notes here: www.lewishowes.com/916
Dr. Mark Hyman is leading a health revolution-one revolved around using food as medicine to support longevity, energy, mental clarity, happiness, and so much more.
Dr. Hyman is a practicing family physician and an internationally recognized leader, speaker, educator, and advocate in the field of Functional Medicine. He’s the founder and director of The UltraWellness Center, is the Head of Strategy and Innovation of the Cleveland Clinic Center for Functional Medicine, AND is the Board President for Clinical Affairs for The Institute for Functional Medicine.
And somehow, in the midst of all this, he’s a twelve-time New York Times bestselling author and hosts one of the leading health podcasts, The Doctor’s Farmacy. He’s also a regular medical contributor on several television shows and networks, including CBS This Morning, the Today Show, Good Morning America, The View, The Dr. Oz Show, and CNN.
Needless to say, he’s an expert. Dr. Hyman is one of my favorite people to learn from about health because he is so honest about what’s going on. Instead of trying to push his own agenda, he’s got humanity’s best interest at heart.
If you’re wanting to invest in your health, look no further! Join me on Episode 916 with Dr. Mark Hyman to learn how eating the right foods can make you healthier and happier.

@@Proxxe2 everyone needs supplements today because the earth is completely drained. Glyphosate especially is killing us, and the US is the biggest consumers of Glyphosate which is deteriorating the nutrition. Organic is more important to choose than vegan/vegetarian, but I'd say it is great to choose both if you want. Certified organic should be the number one food choice.

I was sitting next to my wife’s grandma who has Alzheimer’s. She was fairly alert and responsive to our conversations. My mother-in-law gave her a Pepsi to drink and by the time grandma finished about a quarter of the drink, she became completely unresponsive and sat quietly with no expression on her face. I observed this but no one else did and I didn’t dare say anything because they wouldn’t have been agreeable to my observation. I still believe her condition could have been improved or even reversed with proper diet.

Having took care of family members to the end, I realize the meds they were taking were tearing their bodies down, killing them. Our brains need healthy fats, like real butter, olive oil, omega 3... & a few carbs, which is converted to sugar... walking with her in the sunshine- about 10-15mins....drinking water...I grew up in the 60’s, I don’t recall all the old people having Alzheimers. They moved a lil slower, but they hadn’t forgotten who everyone was... we ate fresh garden vegetables, had fruit trees, ate beans, less meat & sweets; the elderly was a big part of the family & helped taught the younger folk.

I did a paper in the early 1980's on lobbyist for my Political Science class. The name that came up the most was someone named Joe Biden. I didn't know who he was. Other countries viewed him as a traitor to the US and if he were a citizen of their country he would have gotten a traitors death. I remember when I heard his name many years later as the running mate to O'bama, I was like, "that name sounds familiar", and then realized who he was. I was not political in the least. I took the class for an easy "A".

My pregnancy diet was bad, I struggled with food. Went from healthy to high carb. Knew baby would be big, he was so big I ended up in hospital (still gave birth naturally thank god, but it wasn’t looking good up to those last 5 minutes). The nurses scolded me for not doing diabetes testing. I knew I didn’t have it and he was big from high carbs. (He also had no diabetes). Then the hospital spent the next 24 hours feeding me the foods that had just made them think I had diabetes. Obscene.

I am 74, in excellent health. Hubby and I eat 90% at home, not going out and very rarely eating fast food. We no longer have chips, dips, ice cream, doughnuts, nor eat fried foods. This started about 4 months ago when my husband became aware he was in an obese range and was pre-diabetic . Me, about 35 lbs overweight. We adopted a lifestyle of eating healthy, fruits, fresh veggies, baked chicken, baked fish. While hubby does have a Diet Coke once a day, and I tend to drink Crystal Light. Sorry, I can’t stand drinking just water all day. We added a exercise regime of walking, and working in our garden. I have lost 22 lbs., and hubby has lost 35 lbs. while he wants to lose more, he is no longer pre-diabetic, nor in the obese range. We feel so much better, more energy, better sleep. We both realize losing this weight is a lifelong commitment of eating healthy. Will we, on rare occasions, eat a little ice cream once in awhile, or stop at a fast food, yes, but in moderation, then immediately go back to our healthy lifestyle.

Since I’ve played soccer and basketball, I limit sugar as much as possible. Part of it is athletic mindsets but also just simply personal choice. I don’t like being loaded down with sugar.

My lifelong eczema cleared up and has never returned since giving up all dairy products. I only have organic, sustainable soya milk in my hot drinks now. No more hydrocortisone cream needed, no more itching, no more unsightly skin patches all over my legs

I was hooked on sugar. A naturopath gave me a product which helped quit this horrid habit. Sugar became a cheap filler... in everything even dog food; check the labels. I use a small amount of unpasturised pure honey or maple syrup or stevia a non chemical sweetener.

He isn't that wise if he believes that man has affected the climate through co2 release. The Co2 than man creates is a faction of 1% compared to natural Co2 release. We could produce a 100 times more Co2 and it still wouldn't affect the climate. This guy when to the world economic forum and that's all you need to know about this guy. He is controlled opposition.

He makes me think of the US telling the world how to behave while overlooking its own slum cities with his missing teeth preaching about food. Clean in front of your own door first all of you preachers. The guys in my circle who warned everyone the most for Co-vid got it first...strange coïncidence ?
