@ P G the US has the opposite problem , everything is so over sanitized and perfectly clean that ppls immune systems are weaker and tons of kids develop allergies . I wish I had the stomach of steel that Wei has 🤣🤣 it is enviable and an Excellent tool for a world traveler . 24/7 paranoia of food poisoning put a bit of a damper on my travels in SE Asia. I am working on my food poisoning resistance , maybe another decade here and I will be able to trek Asia and Africa and South America Fearlessly 🦠

Poorest province in China? Certainty doesn't look poor at all with all the nice buildings, clean streets, well dressed people and abundance of good food. And look at those children, they're clean, healthy, well fed and well dressed. They're so generous with their own goodies, giving to total strangers, so friendly and trusting. Certainly they must be having good parents who take good care of them, providing them love, security and adequate material needs too. These children look so happy. Truly a nice video showing the real China, a beautiful country with happy friendly people.

The hospitality of China "poorest" province is amazing. Spontaneous invitation to a meal shows the warmness of the people. 阳离子:a great piece of introducing a “small” town in Guizhou province. I was wishing to visit such remote cities when I was there. Your Vlog is critical to westerners, especially those who have no ideas about China. In fact, people in such towns may take up more than two thirds of Chinese population (I.e., around 2.5 times of USA population). They are not poor at all. They are less sensitive to politics, but very curious about the western cultures. Your visit creates huge impacts on westerners’ understanding of China while it also opens the door for people who have interests in elevating Chinese knowledge about the Western world. Thanks for producing this Vlog. God bless!

We don’t often see any places or any countries is as beautiful cozy place with so many people who are kind and passionate to welcome you and Wel as this city and local people don’t know you but invited you to share food and drinks with you . Gifts from kids and local people and you are just a stranger not. to mention you look totally different from them but they welcome you .took you to their place , provided whatever the best of food they cooked to provide their warmest hospitality to you with their innocent smile . They could trust you so easily . They invited you in , shared meals they made even though they never met you before but welcomed you . The only reason they trust you right away is not even called that a reason which is because you are able to speak mandarin to communicate them well . How the earth to find someone like you who has passion ti seek for every corner and every angle of its history , river , behind the wood ? I see how you appreciate their place., had a good time to eat with them even though you don’t understand their songs or their culture 100 percents , but you still showed your enthusiasm. , appreciate their kindness and hospitality as how much this place and local people welcomed you with their warmest smile and sincere hospitality . What a wonderful place with many kind and passionate people. They also got an opportunity to meet one of the kindest sincere Americans in person . What a great opportunity to meet each other , able to share food and laughters with each other at this cozy beautiful place . I’m touched by your passion for this place and local residents One of the best videos and one of the videos with so many laughters with love peace and joy . My word, what a beautiful place and what a great trip. Libuo reminds me of my little corner of Shanghai... 40 years ago. As a 7 year old, exploring the still partially rural neighbourhood of outskirt Shanghai, finding random curiosities, this feels just like that. I think a part of me prefer the authentic and genuine nature here over the hyper deveopled cities like Shanghai.

I swear to got this video warmed my heart. I am from Brazil but have since moved to the US. I was a teacher in Brazil, so I can deeply relate and somehow feel some of the kindness you were getting from those kids. I can appreciate your walks and exploring of the country side, as my family grew up in farms in the south of Brazil. I just found out about your channel, and I'm binge-watching your whole slate of content. This one is my favorite so far.

The people are so nice. Katherine the celebrity of the day in Libo! I would have been tired after signing a few of the children's notebooks. I love the old buildings from the Qing dynasty. Nice video.

I like it when the local food and cuisine are featured in these videos. It shows how diverse "Chinese food" can be in the different provinces... and that there is way more to it than just what people see at the restaurants and "fast food" chains in the West. I've visited China before... but not most of the places in your videos. Keep up the great work featuring the food and people in these regions of the country. I almost feel like I'm touring and visiting these places by watching the videos.

This is what Chinese people sometimes do, inviting you for a meal at their home, it melts my heart, and after living in western countries (where people are completely different in that regard, not bad, just different), I even tear up thinking of the warmth and hospitality of Chinese people.

Thank You guys!! once again you get down to the human level of interaction and help deconstruct myths - love it!! It is interesting they all get a days holiday for Woman's day in Libo. In Chongqing apparently only the women get a half day off ..but some bosses would rather double their pay on that day than let them take the day off . (so my contacts tell me).
