@brajeshsingh23914 жыл бұрын
agreed the movie is not credited as much but if you want a superhero movie with an intense emotional theme with the perfect farewell its Logan. Ok it is not original but its very true to its idea. So far only 2 movies have given Super Heroes the perfect send off. One was Logan , other was Terminator 2. Marvels End Game also tried and somewhat succeeded but there were just too many characters in it to allow it to create a strong emotional impact. An A+.

Lol to be fair to Alonso I also noticed the cell phone thing because there's a scene where there's a dialogue exchange and they say what year it is then it cuts to show the world then it cuts directly to his phone so it stood out. It's not a cinematic miracle to win Best Picture to validate fans' taste, the film has no concept of pacing, but it is really good I think 8's about right.

Do ppl realise if Xmen was reverted back to Marvel studios, a film like Logan would never have been made.
@adamw1167 жыл бұрын
I was so enthused when I heard just now about this movie being a throwback to the 70s! It's almost a shame Jackman doesn't want to continue in the character because Mangold sounds like the perfect match for the mythology of Wolverine! I knew this series under Mangold's direction would be a charm the second time because he is an intelligent, awesomely talented filmmaker who probably listened to The Wolverine's criticisms and knew he had to improve. But, not to be downer, realistically it's gonna be very interesting to see the final box office total because it's R Rating! It is low budget but big studios expect super numbers for any comic book franchise! Especially for an X Men related property! I hope it makes enough to inspire an R Rated series of popular comic book properties!

Alonso I honestly lost all respect for you now! Subtracting points because they didn't get cell phones and cars right! SERIOUSLY?
@KeithBallardA7 жыл бұрын
He didn't say that at all. Feeling like pointing something out isn't the same thing as subtracting points. The concept of "subtracting points" also really doesn't apply to movie reviews. Movies don't start out as perfect and then lose points. That's how papers are graded in school.
@KTK447 жыл бұрын
Keith Ballard: Unless you go into a movie with zero expectations your argument is flawed. Most go into a movie with expectations of some degree, meaning those expectations are either fulfilled, exceeded or not. So in a sense you do actually substract points from a movie if you go into it with high expectations. Logan had a lot of buzz around it, and I bet the critics where excited also based on some very good trailers. So yeah, I don't buy your argument at all. And Logan was amazing btw. 9.5/10.

Yeah but like any other bit of tech, things become stagnant. There was a time when the design of traditional telephones drastically changed, then looked more or less the same for decades. Smartphones haven't changed much in the past five years, and I don't think they will change much more in the next decade.
@DTX1807 жыл бұрын
cell phones have barely changed since 2007 tbh
@robertbenefield24937 жыл бұрын
Personally, I was pleasantly surprised the near future in Logan, for the most part, basically looks the same as modern day. Too many movies over-estimate the advancement of technology, and age horribly as a result. Sure, there will be some technological advances 12 years from now, but for the most part, things will largely look the same.
