Thatcher Sandifer I’m not sure about that marvel never really made Loki all that strong by himself… he never used his magic all that offensively, only just using it to create illusions, shape-shifting and sometimes summoning stuff. In fact I’m pretty sure this is the first time we ever saw him use an energy blast/magic blast with only his hands and not through a staff which weren’t really connected to his own power. He’s also mostly been a joke character as of ragnarok so I don’t really trust marvel to treat this character with all that much respect…

This was the weakest so far sure but all 3 are amazing so it’s really close to the first 2. 1 and 2 were 10/10 but this is 9/10 or 8/10 if you wanna be picky It’s not filler either, we learned some good things about the TVA and mostly Sylvie and her past and motives. The first 2 focused in Loki and his journey into the TVA as well as introducing the TVA and their propaganda, this focused on Sylvie and her motives, as well as planting that seed of doubt in our head that mayyybe the TVA isn’t as good as it was made out to be. This wasn’t a filler episode but a character episode. The structure is a bit similar (since the plot doesn’t really advance in either) but the purpose is so very different. With that in mind I think the next 3 episodes are going to kick it out of the park with craziness and action scenes

Thor can throw a fucking planet in space without any protection gear and yet Loki is afraid of some shitty 2077 meteor pieces falling from the sky? They mentioned that they were going to hijack the train, yet they fell asleep on the train immediately when they board? What happened to the hijacking? That purple futuristic planet has all the alien texts all over the place yet all the people there look like humans and have human trains? In the year 2077, which is like 56 years from now, humans not only develop a mining depot on some purple planets but also invented alien texts for shops n shit? There was a scene where Loki literally star wars forced a fucking building from dropping on him, like whoa inconsistency of power there, if he could do that already, why is he afraid of some burning rocks falling off the sky? at the beginning of the episode, they mentioned that they had only like 12 hours to reach the ark. arent they on a different fucking planet? like is this earth 12 hours or purple planet 12 hours? how the hell did they fuck up hijacking a train, getting thrown out half way and still managed to fucking WALK all the way to the ark and still manage to fight a bunch of people in the town? and speaking of those people they were fighting in the town, who are they? the ark, being the only chance for survival on that planet, has like 3 mintues left. first of all, the 2 lokis were nowhere near being able to enter the ark within 3 minutes. secondly, who the fuck would be in their right minds to fight them, and them only within that 5 minutes window? like why? your chance of survival is gone, shouldnt you be worried about getting onto the ark? some of those dudes were wearing uniforms. like ok i work for this ark thingy and they are all gone without me, ive got nothing to do let me just try to beat up some gods from asgard for giggles and shit. there are so many inconsistencies within this episode it has really lowered the bar for marvel universe for me.

It'd be neat if Loki Kaiser Sozes everyone in the series and he's just been pretending to be incompetent to drop everyone's guard so he can lower their defenses and get away with his actual plan. Cause one thing I've noticed is that Loki's been really open about his plans and backstory and stuff with people when he starts drawing them in, but everyone else like Silvie are moreso try to redirect away from themselves. It could just be bad writing that Loki is so open, but they could be leading to the big moment at the end where he plays everyone and they don't see it coming until it's too late. After all, he's not just the god of mischief, he's the god of STORIES, and lady loki was compared to the Devil in episode one. And what's the greatest trick the Devil every pulled? So correct me if I’m wrong, but I don’t think they were implying that Sylvie was a male Loki prior to being Sylvie. My understanding was she was a female Loki, raised knowing that she was of frost giant heritage. I’m going to guess the TVA came out of nowhere and began pruning her universe, with her escaping somehow. Sylvie just seems like an alias she used after a while to differentiate herself from other Loki’s. She probably wants revenge and is going to kill the Timekeepers (or at least attempt to). She honestly feels like the Enchantress and Lady Loki merged into one variant as a way to call back to those variants of the character while making a new version from the two. I hope we get to see a flashback of what happened to her universe.

@@deepnutty6500 I think it’s because Sylvie is destined to be the downfall of the TVA so they’ve been hunting her most of her life so they can prune her away because she’ll end up destroying the TVA and taking away their control. The TVA is constantly getting new Variants to fulfil these roles in the TVA so they can control this one sacred timeline that they are in power of. Specifically Khang the conqueror. Khang is Judge Renslayers love interest and she is involved in the scheme and she’s bad. There are multiple Mobius variants that have been in his role which is why there were ring stains on Renslayers table in episode 2 and Mobius doesn’t know this has been played out before with a different Mobius variant. Think of Doc Strange in Endgame when he explains there are millions of results to that scenario and only one that Thanos dies. This is similar except the TVA is picking which results they want that ultimately keep them in power.

11:08 I thought that was set up on episode 1 where Loki confessed to Mobius that he doesn't like to cause harm/suffering to others. Which we're now seeing him attempt to change, like not snap old people's necks and have fun on the train. Also a note, when Loki saw his past(It was sped up so we can move on to the plot, but I assumed he did watch through all of it and the writers only slowed it on highlighted moments for the viewers so the whole episode wouldn't be Loki's face on the bottom right-hand corner doing a youtube reaction video) it would also mean he would've seen the scene in Ragnarok where Loki tries to betray Thor again but instead gets outsmarted and electrocuted then Thor tells him "It's about growth, its about change, but you just seem to just wanna stay the same. I guess what I'm trying to say is that you'll always be the God of Mischief, but you could be *MORE* ." This is what caused Loki in the MCU main timeline to change before Thanos was neck cuddling him too hard. I think that's why Loki is not one-shotting everyone and turning this series into an R rated TV show. Either conscious or subconsciously he's restraining his powers against others and having an internal battle with himself on whether he wants to continue being the God of Mischief or become something *MORE* . So I think by the end we'll find out what his decision is. Edited: to separate to paragraphs because i didn't know how long this would be.

Fight scenes are awful, the good guys can’t do anything at all! They are meant to be trained to fight and they take 5 hours to swing that stick they have they literally do moves in slow motion.

If the wands they use disintegrate whatever they touch, then they should use them like a fencing foil, rather than swinging them like a club.

@@markbond7917 Honestly they are probably the worst fighters in the MCU to use such a dangerous weapon and not even know how to use it.

oh wow. Honestly thought they were going to talk about the length of the episode. Also the plot did go some where but not far. They were just fighting and running most of the time? my mind's kinda blown with him giving 10/10. lol

10/10?? I see Joe is back to being a petulant fanboy rather than the “critic” he often reminds us all he thinks he is. 🙄

I think it's pretty obvious at this point that either Sylvie is enchanting Loki or vice versa throughout the 2nd half of the episode. The questions of how the enchantment works from Loki, the odd behaviors of Loki, and the prodding of each other for information. Like Sylvie said with stronger minds she has to put herself into the illusion, it's a battle of wits within the enchantment

My guess is Loki either still has the tesseract or he took an infinity stone and that’s how they will get out of there. I mean they are useless to the tva but Loki knows exactly what they are and there is no chance he would pass up an opportunity like that.

When Joe likes something he'll explain away stupid plot holes

This episode felt like a total waste of time. It amounts to nothing. In a show that only has six episodes it’s time to pick up the pace and not give us another wandavision ending. I can’t stand this show they are turning Loki into a joke getting beat up by everyone.

I love that Joe loves this show so much that he can't bring himself to subtract 1 point lol I'm sort of in the same boat but unless they have really good explanation for the TVA and Sylvie's backstory and her reason for existence I might get disappointed a little bit..

I think the way they mentioned Loki is Bi was quite good, it's one of those times where, in my opinion, it made sense. Like, he said it and I was like "Well, yeah, that makes sense, nice"
@dominiqueodom30993 жыл бұрын
To be honest,as someone who was Expecting Lady Loki It does make sense that Loki,having been around for a few hundred years and also being a master manipulator Hes probably seduced his fair share of Women and Men
@MultiLetz3 жыл бұрын
@@dominiqueodom3099 Yeah! Precisely! And also, while acknowledging it, they didn't make a weird and forced big fuzz about it, it's just treated as it should be, something just, normal!

@National Socialism but... We're not talking about actual vikings, or actual Nordic mythology though.... Thanks for the lesson though, pretty interesting stuff

@National Socialism the mythology probably says he doesn't travel through time and space fighting superheroes and aliens either but this isn't Norse mythology so who cares

Loki basically being gender fluent is true to his/her comic book canon.

I think loki is playing sylvie all along. He has a time stone and is making her believe that she will die soon because once someone knows they are dead they tend to share more secrets about them selves. He will then use the time stone to turn back time and bring back the device. Using with what he learned regarding enchantments he will try to create a revolution or get people to join him to fight the time keepers because he wants to be more powerfull than them. He only seeks power and he know time keepers are all powerfull but flawed just like everyone else. Three episode left so I doubt it but it would be cool to see.

That would be cool indeed. But I doubt this writers are smart enough to make it happen.

I don't get the "Loki is now officially bisexual" discussions. From what I've seen in this episode, Loki is implied to be aromantic, if not asexual given that he claims to not have a special someone and is not hinted at sleeping with anyone. And no, he's not attracted to Sylvie, that's just your rule 63/34 boner talking.
@thejamemes67583 жыл бұрын
I find this show just boring for some reason. The one I was looking forward to the most is so far the most disappointing. It's just not very entertaining and Tom isn't enough to save it. The female Loki has little to no charisma and has no variety in her presentation. They definitely could have chosen a better actress in my opinion. And the plot is just not really interesting. So far it feels more like a sequel to the Series of Unfortunate Events than a Superhero show. Loki is supposed to be a God ffs.
