I am a Slavic witch but and I work with Loki as an integral part of my craft. I really love your explanations in this video and the projections of Christianity's influence on Loki's story. I have spent a lot of my time shifting through the possible Christian influences to decipher the "original Loki" which has given me a wonderful new understanding of him and a close connection with him that I wouldn't trade for the world.

Once again you have addressed a topic that's been on my mind. This is another example of something I have seen as a Christian motif on my own that you not only point out but said Here are some more examples and references. It's been really validating on my spiritual path, and fascinating intellectually. Something about Loki eating a heart and it having something to do with Angrboda felt right, but it also felt christianized. Thank you so very much for discussing this!

Eating blood is a very nutritional food , not do long ago we put it in our food and eat it . We (me and my family)still eat make blood sausage and Cavidela . Heard somewhere, in opast times, when someone had a problem and couldn't see the answer they would dring ox blood and sit under a tree and the answer come to them. It is the most nutritional food , after that maybe brain fish eggs and liver.

A few months ago I was watching a live stream from Mongolia, a lot of shamans reunited on an anual ceremony in Mongolia planicies to honor the spirits and ask for help and guidance in this case was for the COVID19 mundial situation , any way what call my attention the most was that they light a some of bonfires, and at some point one of the shamans ask his assistant to bring him the bonfire heart that was a piece of burning coal , then the shaman take it, red ablaze at it was and eat the ting ... it automatically remind me of Loki eating the heart and also Sigurdr.

Actually those archetypes Spirals and Concentric circles are a Global Archetype aprox 4000 years ago. The same circles can be found across North America, Egypt, Incas, Maya, Babylonia, New Zealand, Australia. They all seem to be facing toward an alignment of Saturn Mars and Earth that occured around that time. At that time a Comet came through and disturbed the show....That is when all hell broke loose.

This made me think of something I'd like explored as well. I read in Katie Gerrard's "Seidr the Gate is Open" (questionable book imo) that Loki could have been the "volva" that Odin was speaking with... "Odin recognises that it is not a Volva that he has been speaking to but instead "the mother of three ogres" which suggests that it is in fact Loki that he has been speaking to." Could you discuss your thoughts on this?

Peeling back layers of myth to reveal a possible shamanic tradition of the eating of the heart. The very idea that it could be linked with 'lifelines' in Paleolithic art is, to say at least, absolutely fantastic! The shear timespan that is involved: A very exciting idea! I interpreted the sacrifice of an animal, say a horse, not only as a sacrifice to e.g. Óðinn, but also to his spirithorse Sleipnir, as a dedicated soul would know it's way back to the well of it's specific origin. If the one (initiate or official) who would make the sacrifice would 'blend' his essence (or hamr) with this soul, he would be able to make the journey to either the God orhis spirit animal, this first of all horses. Are there any contemporary books on this subject that you would recommend? Thanks again for enlightening us!

Thanks for sharing that. I’m vegetarian but I used to eat meat. I don’t condemn anyone for doing so but even though I don’t, the intrusive thought of “ohhh, so I gotta eat every single type of animal to get what’s hidden! And those animals I shouldn’t eat then maybe the blood will do!” I don’t believe it but the intrusive thought was there and I giggled because what you said is exactly what I was thinking. We are connected with them in a way more deeper level than most of us probably want to admit. Still useful information I’d say for the “new witches”. No need to dabble in that stuff. Loving your soul. Thanks for sharing!

When you say Fenrir reminds me of Failinis the Hound whelp of the Irish god of Light and wisdom and a master of all things a trickster a shape shifter and they called him Lugh, the Welsh called him Llew Llaw Gyffes, say it slowly Lew Laws gift, Lew's laws were a gift to man, throw an o between the LU and you have a Body of water lough and "S" you have Slough, the skin of the serpent and a "P" Plough a Plow and his son Setanta means 70, SET, setting Sun(Death) TAN, dawn of the Sun (rebirth) TA, day, Height of the day (Rise to glory) Setanta, Canicula the Dog Star Sirius, Isis. Sirius drops below the horizon for 70 days returning with the floods, when the Dog Star Rises with the Sun It is the Wolf, the eater of the strength of man, 40 days chasing the Sun 70=7 7X40=280 the number of weeks in a birth AND if you play these words backwards "Say God Lu" you hear "Llew Llaw Gyffes" who's laws were a gift to man.

Marsh gas (methane) igniting due to atmospheric conditions, that are spontaneous and erratic and so give the appearance ( in the dark) of a flitting being. Strange you should say esoteric ideas weren't present in the Norse culture, but describe the drinkers of dragons blood as initiates, and initiation...as in initiated into esoteric truths, by the very concept of initiation. Initiation and Esoteric philosophy cannot be separated by any measure, nor is esoteric philosophy somehow relative to Christianity. The sacred and profane permeates all mythology. Viking berserker raids are a perfect example of exoteric teaching, while none of this is to be found in the esoteric teachings of the Norse sagas, much of which is very steeped in philosophy. The Havamal, for example, yet to the disappointment of tattooed, bearded men the world over.
@ArithHärger

I understand what you say, but there is a big difference between Esotericism & Occultism (which are in great part modern theological approaches to a metaphysical perception) and Ritualistic & Cultic practice, especially of past cultures (which were/are a lot more pragmatic, based on practice and experience rather than observation and theoretical conceptions). For the modern perception, Sigurdr's actions would enter closer to the realms of Witchcraft or even Sorcery, rather than Esotericism. Perhaps my future videos on Animism and also on the acquisition of power in sorcery will better explain what I'm implying here. In the meantime, perhaps the following video I've done will shed some light: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hnzafaGIYsqfndE&t

do you think race has/should have a bearing on a person’s religious practice? i was rather… disheartened after hearing of your response to George Floyd’s murder, so would appreciate this clarification.
@ArithHärger
@ArithHärger 4 жыл бұрын
Hello there. I'm the one who feels disheartened, and also sad, when some people prefer to believe in filthy lies rather than pay attention to my work. So first things first: 1) I did not make any response or comment towards Mr. George Floyd and the horrible event of his death. I did post a tiny sentence at my Twitter concerning a personal thing, not directed to anyone or anything in particular but simply something concerning my own personal life. Some people took it as being related to George Floyd for reasons I will never understand. In fact, that's how I got to know of Mr. George Floyd's death, through those hateful comments towards me, accusing me of something I didn't say, and worse of all, accusing me of something I never was and I've always fought against to this very day, which is racism; 2) No, I do not think, not even agree that a person's "race" has any bearing on a person’s religious practice. I grew up without conceptions of race other than the Human Race. My personal spiritual beliefs are closer to an animistic understanding so it's hard for me to make those separations and distinguish or even believe in human races, as I deal with individuals and entities as persons. I'm not an American, I wasn't born or raised or lived in the US, so I really do not understand why there is the distinction of "blacks" and "white" and "latinos" etc. I deal with persons, and that's just it. It sadness me after all this time and almost 300 videos having to underline that I'm not a racist. Even if people haven't seen more than 50 of my videos, surely they saw at least one or two where I demonstrate what I think about racism. To me, racism is pure ignorance. And when a society makes distinctions between persons solely by the colour of their skin, that society walks towards doom because it is consumed by ignorance. I know well who invented those filthy lies, so it makes me sad when people prefer to believe in that rather than actually pay close attention to my work, and I've been as straigth forward as it is possible to be in many occasions. Be wary, those who made that filthy lie are not what they pretend to be. Maybe you don't know me yet, so allow me to send you the links to just 3 examples: 1) Are You a Rational Heathen?: kzbin.info/www/bejne/b6Omn6Z8r9-No5o&t 2) The Animistic Divine: kzbin.info/www/bejne/g33VZmCdf7Fgl5Y&t 3) Ancestral Worship Exclusively About Blood-Line?: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hJPPd5Snn7Kph6M
