I'm happy to hear the process of bringing this game back to life so more can play went well. I loved it on PS3 and I'm sure ill love it on PS5. The repop mode was mainly done to be streaming friendly.

Sony is holding back streaming on purpose. Whenever you play online you're literally streaming the game from the server, they programmed streaming mode to lag. Actually, you'll see that soon. Sony was supposed to swap to a app, so it was game streaming only. The only reason they didn't, had nothing to do with lag but with customers being WAY too attached to physical copies. The main issue isn't collectors wanting to increase value of physical discs but the fact if you don't want a game anymore you can't sell it to get money back for a different game. It would be different if Sony allowed a digital ownership transfer or even better, a digital sacrifice for a discount based on the purchase. Keeps their customers playing games. App based streaming can already be lagless, same exact speed as online gaming period. Just needs code optimization. Imagine this, you only need a controller and a screen capable of streaming. You click the Playstation App and log in, then you play any available Playstation game and they stop removing content from marketplace. Now imagine that same thing, but with Xbox App, and they put all the content they removed BACK ON IT. Membership cost for premium doesn't increase at all. Why? Simple, Sony and Xbox claim to have LOST MONEY selling consoles. Allegedly a few hundred dollars per unit. (Not the xbox series S) So, they would generate drastically higher sales of games, and have more customers while helping to push wifi all over the world. Then maybe we actually all get the satellite world wide free internet paid for by advertising entirely that was talked about 10 years ago. This actually also would cut down phone costs. Cell phone companies would just transfer their jobs to internet based, and the only loss of profit is to people who have more money than they can spend as is.

I never played the original release on PS3 and Xbox 360, but I've always wanted to play it. I bought it today on Steam and just finished the first mission and it's so much fun! Kotaku and IGN criticising it made me wanna play it even more, and I'm so glad I got it!

Side note, the game is only on PS5, Series X/S, PC and Switch. It's not on PS4 and Xbox One as you put in <a href="#" class="seekto" data-time="58">0:58</a>. It still sucks that it's not avalible on those systems. If the Switch can run it, I'm pretty sure the One and PS4 can as well.

As someone that played and LOVED the original Lollipop Chainsaw back on the Xbox 360/PS3, I'm extremely glad this remake was made. Dragami Games did a fantastic job by making it as true to the original as they reasonably could. Yes, there are a few music tracks that had to be removed due to how cancerous the music industry is with licensing, but the core gameplay is still the same mid-2010's jank that I feel nostalgic for. It was genuinely a different era. Also one of the reasons why I love that this got a remake is that PC players (and PS5/Xbox Series X) can finally experience this cult classic as well. The original Lollipop Chainsaw never had a PC release, and was never made backwards compatible with future Playstation/Xbox consoles, so this series was effectively going to be stuck on the PS3 or Xbox 360 and in danger of becoming lost media as the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 stores have shut down. Like, seriously, the only way to play the original Lollipop Chainsaw officially and legitimately was to own an Xbox 360 or PS3 and a copy of the game. That's it. It was almost at a point of becoming lost media. Thankfully Dragami Games resurrected the IP and now everyone can experience the game once more and Lollipop Chainsaw series is no longer stuck on last-gen consoles ❤

It may be a bit buggy, and I will admit that it was incredibly irritating when I died with no fault of my own, (seriously, one time when I was on the O'Brannon Farm level, there was I playing one of those minigames with Nick's head attached to a zombie's body, and as I finish and Juliet jumped over a giant rock, I just died for no reason, ) Lollipop Chainsaw was still an overall fun game.

If you want to play a good playing version of this game, try the game it ripped off, Buffy on the OG XBox. The graphics aren't as good, but Lollipop Chainsaw also came out 10 years AFTER Buffy and on better hardware with a much bigger budget.
