Thanks to this series, I was able to start my own airline with a few Cessna 150s. My airline is called Un Asiento Airways! Thank you, Simple Flying!

For me, this series was a great thought experiment. I wouldn't have the drive, ambition or resources to start an airline but I do like to get lost in my thoughts from time to time. One thing I took from the series is that there are some routes and destinations I'd love to do as a passion project but realistically they wouldn't be profitable. So the only way I'd get those routes is if the airline was one of the most profitable in the world and the profits could subsidise the passion project routes. Say for example if I wanted to do a route to Lusaka in Zambia I'd probably struggle to fill a flight from Shannon at the best of times. But if a route from Europe to the east coast USA was in high demand and business class was almost always full even at off peak times of the year, the occasional peak time route to Lusaka as an exotic holiday option might be workable through subsidies from the highly profitable trans Atlantic route.

I hope that I can start my own airline after watching all 12 videos if I can find $100mil. Somewhere.🤣
