As someone from Chicago's south side, I found it refreshing to see people like Chance coming from my neighborhood. However, the hate he receives for being "too positive" confirms that we, as a society, are addicted to the drama-filled side of Chicago. Chance was showing that not every person from Chicago's south side embraces foolishness. We had King Von, Durk, and Chief Keef - three, from my experience, who were certified criminals. I wanted to see a balance, and I believed that Chance was necessary. The only downfall was his album, which talked about his strong-faced wife. What city in America fully wanted to be known for violence? and you do know that type of publicity drives the economy which drives away the tourists and there goes the jobs. We don't want to end up like Detriot we want to thrive like New York and Los Angeles and haters like Joe Budden and Wale prove that my city has influence cause I just saw a video of people in all places in Alaska acting like O-block.

Anyone else noticing todays artists just don't have longevity anymore? Kind of sad and disturbing. Every career seems to be about four years and it's done. Smh! 😞

It’s insane that an artist can drop one bad project, which major criticism is it was TOO POSITIVE, and people are ready to write him off completely like one record can’t change everything. And Chance has shown himself capable of making those records…

I feel bad for anyone who dislikes Chance just because everyone else does. I need his comeback

Hearing "Juice" for the first time back in 2014 was definitely special that whole tape was crazy "lost" also was a Shockwave

I personally just dont like his music like that. has nothing to do with "being positive"

There's not much people that can say that they didn't like chance. It should be clear that the industry took chance out because he was a positive role model and went against everything. The industry pushed towards the culture.

@@PurelyAlpha chance is on the voice or one of the shows like that and still does have some loyal fans which means he probably isn’t hurting for money

@abyssalzone2957 He's still a mulit millionaire lol so no it's not just about his music. Given his previous R Kelly stance and apology video you can see how they would definitely have other problems in their relationship
