Hi Ann. This has been the worst 2 years of my life. Hormonal changes and turning 49 this October, I have gained nearly 80 pounds. I am beside myself and have gone ahead and purchased the Lumen to try and get things under control. I have lost my mobility and even walking for exercise is now difficult. Then the self criticizing and depressive thoughts take over. I have a question about your course. Does it go over specific details on how and when to fast etc? How much and when to hydrate? Do you cover how to use the Lumen to get the results you are looking for? I appreciate it. Thanks :)

I got Lumen based on your recommendations. I am using it now for 3 weeks - so no flex score yet. I found out, that I was not fasting long enough. I used to do 16 hour fasts and results were very slow. Now I read in Lumen when I can end my fast. Some days I need to push to 21 h ( if I had too many carbs before I guess) and some days 16-17 hours its enough. I hope I understand correctly that its OK to break fast when in 1 or 2 but too soon when in 3,4,5. I also noticed that if I have too many carbs previous day, I wake up in 4. If I eat well, I wake up in 2 and don't have to fast so long that day. Curious where it leads but like you say it's an info! I noticed it can mess with my head if I take it too seriously or as a judgement of my eating/fasting pattern. I was relieved when you said that waking up in 3 is OKay:)))

I fast most days 20 hours. The Lumen community is not always on board with that…just know there is nothing wrong with fasting long and using the Lumen. I teach a class on Intermittent Fasting as well. That might help you understand what your body is going through so you understand the Lumen better.

This was extremely helpful! I appreciate hearing about the three experiments. I appreciate your Comments about taking the emotion out of the results. This is a great initial into to Lumen.

It did take me a while to get a full understanding on what I was doing and what the Lumen was showing me. I haven't ever followed their intake recommendations, I just keep doing my thing :) Good luck with your marathon training!!! :)

As a 63 yr old male who has been IFing for at least 18hrs a day for 2 yrs now I agree 100% with you. I'm getting a lumen so I don't have to stick my finger to check glucose levels and keytones. Thank you for the video

I am 73: went thru ,menopause after a total hysterectomy at age 50; never took hormones. Gained weight steadily for 22years, in spite of regular diets, walking, & being very active. I survived Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma in 2015, & have concerned about its reoccurrence since then. The Pandemic gave me the chance to sit back and plan for a better life. My doctor told me I have severe inflammation & probably fatty liver and leaky gut & I had to cut out processed foods and sugar. I read everything g I could find about IF to get rid of fatigue, brain fog, and depression. On January 1, 2022, I got really serious: pantry & freezer were cleaned out. No more baking. Every month, I fasted for longer periods & weekly 24 hour fasts, monthly 48 hour fasts and a 72 hour fast in April. I am not on Keto. I have lost 40# as of April 30. How will the Lumen help me? I do t see anyone talking to women in their 70s. I know I have to fast longer than daily 18 hrs, so will go up to 20 hours and do weekly 48 hour fasts. I do get dizzy sometimes mad cold in the evening. Thank you.

So I bought the Lumen and got it a week or so ago and have been using it about the same time. I consistently get 3's. How can I get my body into the 1 and 2's. I am in my early 50's

It is a combination of nutrition, fitness, sleep, stress, and hydration. Do you workout in the AM? What time do you close out your feasting window? Are you fasting? What is your sleep quality? It all matters. And I get 3s too! I just go workout

I am 57. Went through menopause and did ok. I quit smoking 4 months ago and since then the weight is packing on. I am frustrated ans at my wits end as to why I would gain so much after quitting smoking but not with menopause. I am wondering what is the purpose of Lumen if we need use your stratagy? I am just looking for a starting point. I have not worked out in years but I know I need to do something........ My cloths are killing me... Too tight etc..........

Good morning Dy Ann, your video was right on time for me. I purchased a Lumen about a month ago and quickly got frustrated because of the levels that I was blowing did not seem to work for me. I think I blew a one once which was great really proud of that. I can’t remember what I did to do that, I wanted to ask what is the best hours to fast I am have some blood sugar issues my blood sugar drops, so I’m hypoglycemic and there are times when I have to work out less if I if I’m working out while fasting so that I can get home quickly or grab something to eat so my blood sugar doesn’t drop what is your suggestions on the best way of fasting enough eating well enough to get the results that I need I would love your suggestion I am 65 post post menopausal, but I have that middle fat that I cannot seem to get past I gained 20 lose 20 gain 20 it’s so frustrating help please

What time would you recommend closing the feasting window to blow a 1 or 2 in the morning if like me you get up and use the Lumen at 5am?

I'm not using the Lumen currently, but I have a question on sleep. I tend to wake up 2-3 times a night. I consistently fast 20-21 hours a day and workout in the mornings M, W and F as well as walk during work breaks on all work days. My bedroom is conducive for sleep, I have taken magnesium before bedtime for several years, and I recently added mineral drops to my water as well as Dr. Teal's lotion before bed. I'm about to be 50 and very much in peri-menopause. Any suggestions?

When I first started watching this video, I enjoyed the great content. I don't understand why you keep flashing 'certain' hand signals? These are not natural hand movements, they are done with thought and a purpose. I did give you the benefit of the doubt and kept watching, but once you started flashing the 6's it's my choice to leave, in the name of Jesus! God bless you, I I'll be praying for you
