Most guys wouldn’t race for pink slips unless they knew they had way North of 600 hp under their own hood, and a proven way to get it to the ground.

There's 8 cylinder injection pumps out there and I'm sure they'd work really well with these direct injection engines.

@MrNeildrake8 ай бұрын
Basically an LT ( Gen V LS) with 2 cylinders removed just like they did with old vortec 4.3 v6. Ford did have a v6 back then but certainly not Cleveland architecture, that would be cool
@fadedsoul238 ай бұрын
@@MrNeildrake so the LV is an LS with 2 less cylinders? That’s pretty interesting, do u think some of the aftermarket LS stuff like pistons and rods will fit in it? As for a Cleveland/windsor/clevor v6, that to me sounds like an engineering project for me to do in the future. I’m trying to learn fusion 360 and CNC machining to do things like that in the future
@GMbowtie3508 ай бұрын
That’s not based off the LS, it’s based off the LT engine design. The LT is completely different from the LS. Different blocks, different internals, different heads, different injection, different everything. It’s like comparing the Gen II LT1 to the LS1. It’s a completely different platform.

You definitely don't need such an exhaust biased cam pattern. Look up David Vizard's cam theory (and Cattledog Garage's recent cam equivalence video) in order to spec a cam that will net you close to or above 1.4ft-lbs per cubic inch with those heads and gain power everywhere on the curve compared to the current cam.
@MrNeildrake3 ай бұрын
I respectfully disagree with your statement. Vizard literally wrote the book on getting best performance on head and cam work but my experience is that the increased duration on exhaust does better on dyno with my combos. I guess you’d have to say that folks like BTR are doing all their cams wrong. Everything they make has more duration on exhaust. They test more than any of us.
