Bone broth or meat stock. Because I have a severely leaky gut that has caused histamine issues, meat stock is a lot gentler and because of the short cook time, doesn’t produce a lot of histamine. A lot of collagen in it that helps to heal and seal the gut lining. I make a big pot every week that gives me 4-5 cups of broth a day. 😍
@KaybaeRoyale Жыл бұрын
@@leannshort2211 hey how long do you cook meat stock/bone broth for histamine intolerance please
@leannshort2211 Жыл бұрын
@@KaybaeRoyale Sure! I cook my chicken meat stock for 2 hours. The less cook time, the less histamine. Bone broth is usually cooked for 12-24 hours! Those of us with severely leaky gut have histamine intolerance, so I feel you!! 😭 Making meat stock is so easy. I have a big stock pot that I can make about 2 1/2 gallons in and it lasts me the week because I have between 4-5 cups throughout the day. I buy around 7 ish Lbs of chicken feet and a couple Lbs of drumsticks from the grocery store. For each Lb of meat you want to add a quart, 4 cups of water. The chicken feet are great because it gives you a very gelatinous broth which is why you want. That sticky gelatin is what’s going to seal and heal the gut lining. I just like adding a couple packages of drumsticks for meat to have for meals after. I usually pick off all the meat and then store in portion size ziplock bags and freeze so I don’t have to worry about histamine there either! Once you have your meat and water in the pot, add carrots, celery, onion and garlic. I like adding herbs too, like fresh parsley, Rosemary and Thyme. Whatever you like, you could add dried too if that’s what you have. I also add between 9-11 tsp of good quality salt too, NOT iodized. Use Celtic grey or Himalayan pink salt. I add about 2 Tbs of peppercorns. However, I wait to add the herbs and peppercorns till after I have skimmed the pot. Meaning, you want to turn the stove on high to get the water to almost a boil. You will be stirring every so often to move the meat around in the pot while you’re getting the temp up. You will notice what’s called, “the bones cleaning themselves” where there’s like this sludge that comes to the top. Just skim it off with a slotted spoon, giving the pot a stir from the bottom a few times and skimming off a couple more times. It just removes that gunk and gives a nicer broth. Then I add in the herbs and peppercorns. I think adding the salt in the beginning also helps the bones to “clean themselves” lol. Once your stock has almost reached a boil and you have finished skimming, you can turn it down and just simmer for 2 hours. After 2 hours I take a sieve and strain out all the broth, saving the drumsticks to pick the meat off of and I save the carrots for eating too! I have 1/2 gallon size mason jars that I pour the broth into and then let the jars sit on the counter for at least a couple hours to cool down enough to freeze in silicone mold trays or put into the fridge. I start this process in the morning so that I have enough time to freeze a batch in the afternoon and then throw another in the freezer before bed. I can get it all frozen by the next day so I don’t worry much about histamine because it’s so quick. I use silicone muffin trays so after they freeze you can just pop them out and store in gallon size ziplock bags. The silicone muffin trays I have equal 1/4 cup, so when I want to have 2 cups of broth I just take 8 cubes out of my ziplock bag and heat it up in a pot. It’s the easier method I have found. Sorry so long, hope this helps! ❤️

Some people have no idea what HCL to use! I had these issues just from a virus basically. But while using the HCL, it harmed my ulcers! It was bad. I had to use Zinc L Carnosine and start following a new diet full of prebiotics and it finally improved. I actually was told I had some leaky gut by the specialist but they never felt it was a big problem LOL. I believe if I had not started making changes to the diet and started using a couple supplements, I would have never healed and put the weight on. I am wondering if you feel taking quercetin is a good help to prevent it from coming back? I still use bone broth to keep strong btw.

Thank you for this video Dr! However, Quercetin never did anything for my histamine intolerance/ MCAS. 😑😔 Glutathione and L-Glutamate are also very high in histamine. I tried the GAPS diet over a year ago and the intro stage had me lose so much weight where I didn’t need to lose any. I looked emaciated!! I am going back to the main principle of GAPS as far as meat stock because of there Collagen benefits in helping to repair my leaky gut. I eat an organic diet, no processed foods. I juice red cabbage and sometimes add apples, celery and cucumber also. I also make my own Aloe Vera juice with ginger. Only 2 days into the juices and my bowel movements are normal where as before I was suffering from severe constipation. I have severe fatigued, chronic productive cough that started after getting Covid April 2021, almost 3 years ago!! 😒 Food sensitivities/ allergies. I don’t do wheat, dairy, caffeine, sugar, (other than local honey). I have some slippery Elm on hand. I wonder if I should start taking that also?

It really depends on their training. I have been to great chiropractors for food allergies and they had no idea or diagnostics for a full diagnosis. Looking back, I had been prone to diseases they could not really treat. I am still grateful for their help but Doctors will write letters that can really help people document things that have to be official and coming from the right people. Edit: When I had IBD out of control, thanks to my official MD notes, I was given sick pay and could survive and support myself.@@zissler1
