Why did she think looking for magic spiders in her condition was a good idea? Yes, she wanted a cure for her daughter, but i think she could have waited until the baby was born. And how in the hell did Madame Webbing come to the conclusion her mother hated her? I can understand that she could have developed negative feelings towards her mother if her childhood in foster care wasn't that great. But she seemed to know her mother died during childbirth and she had her mother's notes all that time ... notes that showed her mother loved her. But we needed that conflict for the scene where she met her mother in a vision - awesome writing.

I'm pretty sure at least in the beginning the Spiderverse-movies were only seen as a little side-project by Sony. Yeah, let those guys that are really into the comic books make their animated movie, who cares. Will probably not make much money, not as much as our great non-Spider-Man cinematic universe ... But Madame Web - that one will bring in the big bucks.

I feel hilariously bad for Dakota Johnson. From the recent press tour of this movie, you can just tell that she looked so absolutely done with the movie to the point that she didn't even care anymore. 😂
@StyloChime7 ай бұрын
I don't. She's a terrible actress and her performance in this terrible movie further underlines just how bad her acting is. In a movie with so many things being subpar, her acting managed to stand out.
@MarvinPowell17 ай бұрын
I feel bad for Dakota Johnson, too. For starters, she actually _can_ act! She was in the remake of Suspiria and was great in it. Second, she doesn't actually attack any of the audience or fans, which considering she's a third-generation nepo-baby and lives in Hollywood, is more impressive than you'd think. Third, she revealed in press tours she really didn't want to do superhero movies cause she doesn't see herself as heroic or right for the genre, but her agency lied to her about it being a Marvel Studios (MCU) movie, and it clearly wasn't. The script then had several rewrites once the director was brought on board and the director wanted to turn the movie into a 2003 thriller that had nothing to do with superheroes. And to top it all off, she was then contractually obligated to do press tours for the movie she knew was bad while filming it. It's literally filming someone humiliating themselves, then making them publicly show off the video to everyone. And again, Dakota Johnson hasn't once said anything negative about any fans or paying customers, unlike much of Hollywood. So yeah, she deserved much better than this. I'd honestly tell her to quit Hollywood now and just start a KZbin channel or make her own independent films or something, cause you can tell she genuinely loves the industry, but thinks Hollywood is all there is to movies and acting.

Nah! The main problem is that they make every project there with the same superhero staple, the Venom movies are at least entertaining, but they'd treated both Madame Web & Morbius in the same way. Morbius would be better if not the best if they make it a R-Rated Superhero Gothic-Horror or if they'd treated Madame Web as a paranoid thriller this would be way better if it explores different genres.
@MarvinPowell17 ай бұрын
@jessetorres8738 Here's my theory: Madame Web is very entertaining _if you didn't pay actual money to see it._ (I sure waste money for this.) If you actually paid $15 to go to a movie theater and watch this, I can legit understand why you'd would be angry watching it. Then again, they knew what they were getting into it. This movie is so incompetent, you'd almost think it was made by a master director intentionally trying to make a bad movie border on coherent and incoherent. But nah; it's just that incompetent to where even film school freshmen on their first day can do better than this (at least they'd care and have some passion behind their work.)

@rars0n7 ай бұрын
This movie is the most textbook example of a director who tries to copy what other, much better movies have done without understanding even the slightest bit about how or why those other movies did those things. What's so incredible about it is how this ineptitude permeates literally every aspect of the movie, from the cinematography, to the editing, to the line delivery. Lots of people contributed to this trainwreck, and they don't necessarily get a pass either, but the ultimate responsibility falls on the director. That said, the writing is exceptionally bad. The villain has a premonition of being killed by these teenage girls, so he decides to hunt them down. The only problem is, Madame is a useless husk of a human being who only gets motivated to get off her sorry ass when she sees visions of him coming after the girls, who are themselves anonymous nobodies. So the initial action he takes to save his future is the only reason his life was ever in jeopardy in the first place. Up until that point, Madame hated her mother and never would have known that he had killed her if he hadn't started hunting down these girls. The logical inconsistencies throughout this movie are mind-boggling.
