The way I fix loose ball joints is by inserting a little thin piece of paper to get friction. I works with plastic too, but it will be more slippery.

have you tried tightening joints using pledge? its a great and safe way in my opinion, its super effective on loose ball joints

I canceled my preorder at BBTS and went with the DC Collectibles Premium one. The head sculpt likeness is not as good as the Mafex and the knee joint doesn't look as good but everything else seems to be better pending possible QC issues.

the bicep mistake is a pain, i remember that when i bought my SSGSS Goku SH Figuarts, his biceps where inverted, so the tricep was in the front, it took a lot of heat for me to dismantle it and fix it

Anthony, are you going to pick up the DC Collectibles BvS Batman and Superman figures? They might end up being the best versions between them, Mafex, Play Kai Arts, Mezco, and Mattel. Unless SH Figuarts ends up doing the BvS line then maybe they could be the best.

I was hesitant about this figure, seeing your review and thefwoosh one is STILL making me to hesitate. I want a good Superman in scale with the Mafex Batman and Injustice Batman but I don't want to spend a ton of money just to fix something that shouldn't need fixing. I just would like a good Superman figure...and the figuarts nor the Mafex one seem to fit in the "good figure" case... Do you eventually have any advice that you could give concerning this matter?

What's your personal opinion is it worth $50? I think if the cape was smaller it wouldn't be movie accurate, then again having yellow eyes for his Heat Vision head already threw the whole accuracy off. I think the biggest issue I'm going to have with it is the cape. I prefer the comic version which is a lot smaller and then wires on the side instead of the bottom. As far as QC issues, we'll all I can say is at least it's better than the first version of MAFEX Batman from The Dark Knight movie. That figure was just horrible since it just falls apart whenever you try to move the Joints. I think Medicom's QC has gotten better on their Amazing Spider-Man line but falls a bit short again with this line. I hope their Wonder Woman figure would have way better QC. I really want that figure.

Almost every superman figure that’s interpreted Henry cavill has the neck long including sh figuarts and mafex. In my opinion the best articulate superman figure that someone can have is the superman from injustice made by sh figuarts because the neck don’t look so long and the suit looks more cool the only issue is that have a plastic articulated cape but anybody can make it a soft cape to the injustice superman.

Thank you for the review. It was very informative. The figure has too many issues. I absolutely hate the cape, and the facesculpt is awful. Even the Movie Masters Man of Steel head sculpt looks better than the Mafex BvS. That loose leg is another issue specially when the figure is not cheap. I think that the DC Collectibles new figure might be a better option, but we shall see.

In terms of that ball hip joint - I just applied future polish liquid inside in small amounts in order to build more resistance to the ball inside - the downside was it got on the cape so it got stained but I'm happy with it

...I love this figure even with the issues it has. Cape's a problem at first, but once you learn how to work with it you can get awesome poses with. I agree with the skin tone on the head and the alternate head's eyes are just weird. I'm thinking of adding a red glow or just paint regular eyes and leave it as an angry face. Left hip joint was also a problem that I managed to fix. Overall I'm glad I chose MAFEX over Mezco. Other versions are just not good enough for me

I like it for the most part. I think some of the issues may be figure to figure, but I don't mind the large cape myself. The biceps thing probably is indeed production wide, just seems like a molding error. Waiting on BBTS on this and Bats and WW, because importing them costs a quite a bit more.
