I have a prediction about the whole thing with the love story, so in mafia definitive edition, in the mission a trip to the country, outside salieri's bar, there are two guys speaking, one of them says "Back in the day, when the boss was still with Peppone, we got called out to a hit. Some politician on the take. The storm's just raging, and we're driving out to the burbs to cap this guy. Street lights weren't so good, so we're driving in the dark. We get to the house and we're about to make our move, then there's this lightning flash - and for a split second in the front yard... I see this head. Just sittin' there. Starin'. Cut off at the neck. Some other crew had already been out to the house that night. Guess the guy had more than his share of enemies. They never found the body." Yeah i know he talks about a crew but this is just a prediction, so the whole thing with the head being cut off and being used as a pot in the trailer could be referring to this, i think in the game there'll be a mission or a major part about this section in the game. And they also talk about the "politician on the take", which is definitely saverio ghillotti.

So when considering that and peppone dying in 1921-1922, that may make sense. But you got a good point. So when thinking like this (just a theory), salieri came to from sicily to america due to some reasons like war, he joined peppone's family when he was young. so when thinking like that stormy part took place in idk 1917, the ages fit. but this still aint solid so yeah

Maybe we get to see some of the characters from the Cigarette cards in Mafia DE Like Tomaso Moretti, Giuseppe Carillo, Valerio Marcano and Louie Romeo! A young Leo would be cool to see as well. And who knows, maybe there will be an epilogue set in San Celeste 1943 where they show the scene with Don Calo and then we could get a glimpse of Vito inside the town hall.

I've always thought that those cards from DE would connect to the Mafia game mentioned in the leaks somehow, seeing as they mentioned that the next game would be a prequel. What I hard to determine is the protagonist, it could be a character that was established previously or someone completely new which I hope isn't the case, unless there's a very good explanation to why he isn't mentioned in the games that take place after.

It would be great if this prequel were stuffed with Easter eggs for all the characters in the franchise. For example, in addition to the old mafia bosses we know, we can see references to the previous main characters. To see Vito's young parents, Joe's parents. Also to see Tommy Angelo as a child. After all, all these characters lived in Sicily in the 1900s, there will just be a sea of references

Excellent, hopefully its a well written story. Difference between Sicilian & American Mafia families is that the Sicilians operate at a more dominant level & are more put in the open. Of course back then there were little white collar crime rackets especially in Sicily where its more of an underdeveloped area so we’ll probably see a lot of vendetta warfare, extortion of farm/business owners, drug dealing, more blue collar stuff. A lot of warfare especially since the families/clans in Sicily are smaller than American Families that consist of maybe 10-30 made guys with 1 single capo controlling that area of the town or city. A lot of warfare I’m hoping, these guys killed each other wildly in fight for rackets & territory. But lets see, I need to get my hands on the PS5.

I think Mafia : The old country timeline might be from 1904 to 1924 -1929, 1924 because it is the year in which Mussolini fascist regime initiated a campaign to destroy the Sicilian mafia. 1929 because its the end of the campaign to destroy the Sicilian Mafia, and 1904 because at the time Leo Gallente was 17 years old and it would be nice if he was the main character of the game

well the car on the screenshot was identified and no way it would be a thing in 1903 or even in the second decade of 1900s. I think the game will be set in the mid 20s, early 30s. Maybe there will be some retrospective to the first decade of 1900, perhaps end of 1800s and later we may intersect with the timeline of first Mafia.

Beautifully well put together, and kudos. Though a quick note: the Royal Italian Flag did not stop being official until 1946, with the referendum that removed the monarchy for a Republic. 1943 was when Sicily was liberated and the Crown threw out Mussolini and joined the Allies (resulting in Mussolini declaring his own Fascist “Republic” without the coat of arms that lasted until 1945 when the Allies crushed it), so I doubt there would be too much after that point in game regarding Sicily beyond maybe a sort of Godfather Part 2 borderline epilogue assassination or the like, but just a small timeline explanation.

Hey I have a thought or an idea about mafia 4 protagonist that can make a great story as well as lore. I really see Leo Gallante being the protagonist possible proof was saying in mafia 2 he knew things and was in the commission here we can see his rise to the criminal underworld also it could have an ending that could answer our questions like did he spare Joe Barbero or if he died it could show how. Like a heart attack or something. Leo Gallante would be one hell of a character for mafia 4.

A little nitpick, but the flag would cover a potential timeline up to 1946, not 1943 (43 is just when Mussolini was deposed as PM, the kingdom itself ended with a post-war referendum). But I really don´t see that being the thing anyway. A crossover with Vito´s deployment in 43 would be interesting though. They definitely owe us more of San Celeste after how they gutted the Sicily mission in Mafia 2.

I always wanted new mafia to be open world like GTA where you can choose where to go (but not like repetitive mafia 3), but someone told me once that for some games its much better if they will be simple linear games rather than open world with boring side quests, and probably he was right. I enjoyed Mafia 3, but I agree that it was boring sometimes, so its better to have shorter game but packed with memorable moments.

Excited. This isn’t considered Mafia 4 but a spin off? From what I’ve been told. Looks really gloomy which is interesting but I hope it still contains a spec of the comedic charm mafia 2 and DE had. Great in-depth as always MGV

Excited to imagine the era when Uncle Vito went to fight in Part 2, but in the past, reviewing the role of the big mafia boss in Part 1, a new classic, showing skills in a classic style, the story is even more developed, or not? Reviewing, excited, not seeing it come out as a story with modern charm in Part 2, Uncle Tommy Angelo's era, right? The role of the boss in the past before becoming a mafia, was it a combat unit or not? Wonder if this game may have the ability to play as maybe three characters. Mafia 2 had players play as Vito in the main game and Joe and Jimmy in the DLC. GTA4 did that and GTA5 had three main characters in the whole game. And I think they should gameplay ideas from the godfather games.
