Any idea how this will affect airmen with families? My tech school could be 18 months - if we're not allowed to get off base housing this will be a nightmare

If you have to live on base then they can come visit you on the weekends or you should be able to leave base and visit them. But if you have a family good chance you might get off base housing for a 18 month tech school. They might help you out and work with you since it’s such a long tech school.

Thanks for the video! It gave me hope to know I may be able to see my husband while he's in tech at Keesler. His tech school is about 6 months so I don't know what I would have done if I couldn't see him for that long. Do you know if they're allowing spouse/family housing requests due to covid? I know it's usually dependant on the length of tech.

Usually not for tech school but in certain situations I have seen it happen. But you should be able to visit him after he’s in tech school for awhile if it’s a 6 month course!

Have you heard anything about what they are going to do for Christmas exodus? Or have you even heard of any rumors or anything like that? Also I want to ask clarification on something that you said that that you are allowed off bass on weekends until 7? Is that true just for your base that you’re at or is that Air Force wide for all the tech schools? Thank you very much

They said at my base is everybody will have off and go home for Christmas Expodus, and right now they upped it to allowed off base on weekends only until 9PM. This is just for my base as of what I know right now.

Great video. Overall would you say BMT is easier or harder?

Not easier more fast paced and you take the PT test earlier that means and have to pass all the graduation requirements at a quicker pace, but not necessarily harder either.
