I am loving your channel!!! Your thoughts are very healthy. “If something overwhelms you, set a limit to it.” That seems such a simple statement but hearing that come from you in the calm manner and relaxed state I get into watching you paint - it changes my life. Simplicity is best. I do not like too many choices for anything either. I prefer to shop in small stores when I go out. I do love taking virtual trips with you !! I’m an introvert by nature and I feel as if I’ve gone out exploring just watching you go to the places you visit. Your art is breath taking. You speak my thoughts about many things and I feel not alone in the way my mind works. Thank you for this content 💛 I found treasure in your channel

I was listening to a podcast that said, “it’s important to live life by design rather than emotion. Basically, sticking to a routine is what allows us to be the healthiest version of ourselves (especially when you're fighting these demons ex. OCD for me). I’ve had to overhaul how I approach studying, working out and taking care of my brain (journaling) by practising mediocre consistency. Now I try to put in consistent 50-60% effort into my studying, exercise and journaling habit - to make sure I do it I began recording it and posting it on YT. Because historically I have a habit of going too hard, not being able to sustain the Herculean effort, giving up and hating myself. So now I’m trying to give a small, consistent mediocre effort everyday. And its crazy how it adds up, and its crazy how when I get into a slump im better prepared to get out of it.

Hey Valerie, this is a masterpiece :) Honestly, I’m into aquarelle lately and I love your style and talent, but not only in painting. The calming background music not being too loud, your wonderful voice, the super motivating things you talk about, how you help everyone to open up and experience new fields (like the fractals), the impressions we get of Berlin… just everything. I am worried though you are overworking yourself, and I know that too well, especially this twitching eye thing. Please take care of yourself and time off when you need it. I love how you don’t only show the super bright side, but be nice to yourself too, please. And I don’t mean that kind of “I’ll have a great breakfast” nice, I mean the “okay, I still don’t care as much as I want to, and I hate it but I admit that”, the “I let myself down - in whatever way - and now I will stand up for myself and allow myself to be human” nice. I’m not sure if this is relevant to you, but I got the impression we have a lot in common concerning our working attitude… I really hope you have many many happy moments in your life right now :) Love you, please love yourself as much as we do - and take exquisite care of yourself ❤️

Valerie, thanks for this video. Another life lesson based on your experiences. You are the complete package! Beginning with your voice, the music, your art and all your guidance is amazing! Your painting is fantastic. A couple of weeks ago, I went to a park about 15 minutes from where I live. They have a pond and this year they had over one hundred Koi fish. It was amazing to see all fish from big to small and the sun reflecting the pond was breathtaking. As soon as I got back home, I did a small painting. Very rewarding experience. I congratulate you on all your effort and determination to make your life easier. A suggestion for your eyes, use the 20-20-20 rule this will allow you to rest your eyes and feel better. You are doing great and your inspiration is contagious! Much love and blessings for each day. Take care and be safe.

How beautiful. I love aquariums and have painted different underwater scenes especially once I visited a reef and floated over it in a glass bottomed boat. It was so enchanting with all the different colours, forms, the movements of the little fishes and the play of light through the water, it was a mesmerising and utterly magical world. Thank you for taking me back to these enchanted places and spaces. This was so evocative to me. Also the mathematical formula is very reassuring as it reminds that repetition isn’t boring when it reproduces itself in so many differing ways. Makes one’s daily tasks a little more endurable and embraceable. Blessings always to you for your lovely, dreamy content and gentle wisdom.

i always make a mistake of planning to watch while I'm doing my work (background). Fails every time. And the philosophical elements make it downright impossible to half-concentrate. What I learned was making a complex and detail (seemingly chaotic) scene of an ocean floor simplified into manageable geometric forms. I also learned you are as complex as your art. For me it's a contrast. An artist listening to the stoics. I admire Stoicism but I'm impartial. I lean Plato and Aristotle and in turn Aquinas. Another complexity: you're able to counterbalance Aurelius by saying you don't have to agree...but then Stoicism and being an artist go so well together: pain is a virtue. And you showed it. And your sense of humor is epic! You make my week with your videos. Thank you.

Being a person who loves maths and arts(drawing and painting) , it felt so good to hear someone I look up at talk about both of these things.. Also, when you said, " you don't have to agree on everything you hear or read" made me feel lot better.. It was just that I've never hear anyone say this and when I used to hear my classmates talk about a books and make it look like they agree on all the things written there and it's so good that everyone should while on the other hand I would not used to make me feel quite alienated but just a simple statement in this video made me feel 'it's ok' to not agree..on things. Thanks! Lots of love❤ Bye bye🌸❤

Yes, Valerie, for the masking fluid, the best is to use an old brush and soap it… the other option I found useful, are the silicone tips, they are like like brushes but instead of the hairs of the brush, they have silicone tips, those I bought at the art store were big and more expensive… but I found that my mom, who’s a dentist use them in her practice and bought some useful packs with smaller nicer tips that like with masking fluid in watercolors and also found them useful for dry pastels as a tiny sfumino… 😊 The other thing is a molotow pen or there is one with a needle point, it’s tricky to use it anyway but brush free for finer details, hope it helps ❤
