How do you clean the smudge bowl? I’m using a copper bowl and there’s lots of resin stuck on it and it’s really piling up 😕

@@mrssdelgado some people just allow it to continue to collect the resin, and some wipe it out as often as they feel the need to do so. I personally leave mine the way it is and properly return the ashes to mother earth in a good way. :) May be a good reason to get a 2nd smudge bowl

My grandmother used a 5" cast iron frying pan. When it was passed to me I cleaned it and it is my smudge bowl. My grandmother Said it was her mother's smudge bowl and it might have been on the trail of tears.

I recently got an abalone shell for my meditations! But! I don't use it for smudging. I drink water from it. I meditate over the water and drink it and it feels so good 😍

@MalloryRoseCo
@MalloryRoseCo 3 жыл бұрын
Hi there, Raven! That is a good question you have there. As for the ashes that remain inside the bowl, you may want to place them on the soil or bury them. It is believed that what we take from Mother Earth should be returned to Mother Earth. Hope this answers the question :))

@@MalloryRoseCo I think they don’t realize abalone is the type of animal the shell comes from. I think they wanted to know the difference between this type of shell and any other animals shell. I see you kind of explained this in the video this shell comes from this type of animal. Another example would be clams or oysters, they also have shells. I hope this reply helps lol

I know this post is old but be careful what feather you use. There are laws regarding eagle feathers and if you are not a native american with a registered tribe, or have permission from the secretary of the national repository for national wildlife. Could be over $100,000 fine and imprisonment. Stay safe everyone!
