I lived & worked In Greenville, SC from 1985 to 2000 then Colorado tillI returning here to be with my family and grandkids. I enjoy your cooking shows, it’s great that you use the same local ingredients that I can get like Food Lion. Also the best is I have the same stove that you do, so when you show medium high, I know exactly what it is! I see you’re Clemson fans, my grandson goes to their soccer camp every summer and I was there in the rain last year. My daughter’s birthday is tomorrow, I got her the meat masher and other utensils that I see you use. I enjoy your family shenanigans and I’m not a cat guy but I like Gracie and her cheese!

I also have a Gracie cat, found her on our farm at 4 weeks old Mama had gotten run over in the road. It was late at night and we heard her crying, that’s the reason for the name Gracie because if we hadn’t found her we’re sure the coyotes would have so we’ve always said she was saved by the GRACE OF GOD! We always enjoy your family and delicious meals, I always pull out my pen and recipe cards so I’m ready to jot down something good! Also live in SC in the Lake Murray area. ❤

I have a precious dog who lost his leg to a pitbull attack after my dog put himself between the pit and my small Chihuahua. Yes he's our little hero. He, Scrappy(lol) is a small terrior mix. Anyway he loves Gracie. Every time she cries for cheese he turns his head side to side then looks at me like , help her mom. Lol aww I love precious Gracie and evidently so does Scrap! As always love the recipes. I recommend when your instant pot kicks the bucket. Get one like the Dou evo , it’s pot doesn’t need the clip. Handles set Into the main unit. It is so easy to use on your regular cook top as well. I prefer to brown my meat on my cook top then insert it main unit for the pressure cooking. I have more control over the heat. It also has a steam catching feature.

I love watching your channel. Your husband, Steven reminds me somewhat like my nephew in Louisiana. He nephew has a great sense of humor to. I love any recipe that has chicken, spinach and , of course, garlic. I have a seasoning called fire roasted garlic and it’s so delicious! You are truly an inspiration to every person that likes to cook. My husband was one when he was alive.

Mandy... I made creamy beefy taco soup tonight, and while I changed the recipe a bit from what you did, it was an absolute HIT! I love recipes like this that you can tweak to your family's preferences and/or what you have on hand at the moment. I really love (and my family too) soup, especially in the cooler months, and I truly think this soup might be the best I've ever made. THANK YOU as always for the inspiration :) I think next week I might do the orzo - it feels like a slightly less refined version of risotto but also very delicious!!

Love your program…2 things: 1. I use grated onion when I can, especially in meatloaf. 2. You should try some chicken salt (I make my own), delicious on tenders or bites and to die for on fries)

I’ve been making various different types of hamburger sliders lately and I found an easy hack. I don’t separate the Hawaiian rolls but slice them horizontally as one large top and one large bottom. Luckily I have a pan that is almost the same size. I then press out whatever meat mixture that you’re using to approximately the same size as the bun. I cook the large meat patty in the oven until about 90% done. I then use several spatulas to lift the patty onto the bottom bun. Top with slices of cheese and whatever toppings that you’d like. I top it with the top bun, spread a mix of melted butter and garlic powder on top of the rolls, top pan with aluminum wrap and bake at 350 for about 15 minutes. Remove the foil and cook an additional 5 minutes. To serve slice the rolls individually. It takes much less time than cooking the patties separately and each slider has all of the ingredients. Enjoy!

Hi Mandy, I love your videos and have been particularly impressed with the utensil you use to break up ground meat, or minced meat as we call it in the UK. My brother and I share a home and the cooking, too. He just told me that he'd watched a video last night of someone using a really handy tool to break up meat in her cooking pot. "Was it Mandy in the Making, an American girl?" I asked. "No idea" he said. "She's from the South, from Carolina..." but still "No idea" was the reply so I played a little of your latest video to him. As soon as he saw Gracie Lou he said "Yes, that's the one! I remember the cat!" and a minute later he was ordering a similar tool on Amazon. Mystery solved 😂😂😂!
