Olaplex saved my hair from years of curling irons, straightening irons, bleaching and ripping a brush through my hair in an attempt to get it to lay straight. I had no idea I was someone with 3A/B hair until I started my journey towards healthy hair. It happened after I could no longer gets the knots out and would hide them in a ponytail. IN otherwords SEVERE problem hair. Now, a year later I can run a brush through my hair in the shower! It used to take me hours to detangle now I can brush my hair like a normal person and in so my curls sprang to life. Turns out I have natural spirals and ringlets instead of looking like I had straw hair that was put through a crimping iron. No more brittle, dry straw hair all thanks to Olaplex and a couple KZbinrs like Mel and India and Courtney and that bounce curl brush which is amazing! Big thanks to them.

I just want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for your videos. My hair has changed a lot over the years and didn’t start getting curly until about 14. At that time crunchy mouse or gel was available and honestly I was clueless as I didn’t know many curly girls. From about 21 till about a few years ago when I started watching you I thought my hair had changed to just wavy. Turns out, I just didn’t have a clue. I straightened my hair since 21 for about 20 years bc I hated my wavy/loose curl hair - that is until your videos. You have given me confidence with my curls that I have never had. I want to add that so many of the products you mentioned have been game changers for me with fine, high porosity hair: Olaplex clarifying shampoo (I have really hard water), ghost oil, virtue oil, your curl foaming gel. Just recently I’ve been experimenting with hairspray and it has made SUCH a difference. I’ve been really struggling with a chronic illness and your videos have really helped me find small ways I can care for myself and feel at least a little bit better. I REALLY appreciate how you acknowledge how people might different energy and mobility levels and recommend different ways to accommodate that. You have given us SO many great resources, I learn so much every time I watch! Thank you, truly!

I like the way you presented the information here, with different orders and options. Curl creams I have tried have been too heavy so I have used only the foam. After watching this I tried the Cursmith Curl Retainer (gelee) because of how you talked about the different product recs for different hair types. I first used the retainer first and sealed with the foam which gave volume but too much frizz. Then styled like I normally would with the foam but sealed with the retainer and what a difference! No frizz and way better curl after breaking the cast with oil. THANK YOU

I have to admit, I only found your channel about a year ago. I am…well let’s say, older than you. So it took me _years_ of trial and error to get my curls the way I like them. AND the Verb Ghost Oil has been my holy grail for probably 8 years now??? Idk, ever since I got I tiny trial size in a beauty box and I fell in love. But I don’t use it as a finisher. I use I leave-in (also Verb sometimes Ouai if I want to splurge) _then_ I use my Ghost Oil and then my gel (yes, I use the foaming gel from Verb…I used it before I ever even watched your channel so it must be serendipity that I found you) I’ve just come to love my Verb products. I think the only thing I don’t use from them is a clarifying shampoo and a scalp treatment. Right now I’m using Ouai clarifying and for my scalp treatment (which I need because my scalp is dry as the Saharan desert and ITCHY,) I use a product called TXTR but Cantu shampoo with apple cider vinegar and tea tree oil. I use that every time I wash as my first wash. Then I go in with either my Verb or my clarifying depending on the day. I have been doing the CGM before I even knew there was a name for it. But I JUST received my bounce curl brush and I am VERY excited to try brush styling for the very first time in my life!! Wish me luck!

Hi Mel congratulations on 6 years! I was using foam or mousse after gel for longevity volume and hold and liked the results. I have high porosity fine and thin hair. I recently tried foam under gel and I got way more volume at the roots with the same hold and longevity as the opposite way. When I use the foam first I only scrunch gel mid length to ends avoiding the roots. I’m in Florida so I need that hold from the gel
