MapleStory classic. Tbh there are so many problems with it. I am not being mean or anything but if you played OSM you do not feel the same thing. I played mapleland and it is a mobile version of the game, it feels like it also.

Artale was fun for a bit, then I realized I don't miss old school Maple. I miss being a kid. Nostalgia is a bitch. Lol.

Reason why you don't miss Old Maplestory is because now u've got whatsapp, reddit, facebook, discord, a bunch of games that allows you to communicate with people around the world in a second. Maplestory was good because of the lack of worldwide communication internet had back then. For god sake, when maplestory was top tier mmorpg, people still were using E-MAILS to communicate worldwide

I think it depends, really. There are some games that I genuinely do just prefer old versions of (World of Warcraft, Smash Bros.) but there are also games that were just a moment in time I miss (Halo 3, Runescape).

Good stuff! I've been enjoying Artale a lot despite the issues/limitations because it does certain things I wish the bigger private servers would, and it's hard to beat the hype around something official. Also ayy a fellow Page 😎

What lacks with Maplestory worlds is that channels can only hold 50 players per.

in old maple , if we were too high level , some quests , we could not do them anymore , why is that , and is this issu fixed in artale ?

Depends on if they make the change. Most of the quests that get level locked are not implemented yet I believe.

Artale felt kind of dead. If they could just do the 19 or 20 channels so that there can be a ch 1 hub it would feel more lively. I played for 2 hours and only met one person who i trained with at henesys.

anyone have any idea how to get worlds working on a different drive? keeps installing to C drive but i don't want it there

Its just a shortcut to a url, it technically doesn’t install anything to your computer. You should be able to just copy the executable to your other drive and it will work.

Honestly, if i could make any changes to maple story, these would be: (I know some of these did make in some servers) - make lower levels require more XP and higher levels less XP, making the XP curve softer (making the lower levels equivalent to the time you get to level up around level 30 and the higher levels around 80 of old maple) -balance the demage on higher level monsters so it don't kill you in two hits, also in armour so it be more relevant. -Make cash options avaliable with mesos. - Make every map viable to grind as also making every quests viable with better rewards.

The generic avatars, the almost accurate UI, the buggy loading zones/channel switches. To me it just feels too off to draw me in. I know others are having fun and im not here to take that away from them, its just not for me, at least in its current state 😅 too much of a flash game feel

That being said auction house, auto loot, and an exp curve are fantastic changes. Looking forward to a smoother experience with some of these forward thinking ideas implemented

I think old school ms classes are just boring and uncreative compared to some of the classes in GMS like blaster or cadena. It's just nostalgia bait for the first ~140 lvls

Imo old classes just fit to the old Maplestory what was perfect to me. New classes connect better with the current Maplestory which I dont like.

@@michal4736 This is fair, I personally enjoyed old school a lot when I was young as well. But, after playing MMOs throughout the years, I'd prefer maple to be something more akin to a modern MMO. Classes having real rotations and bosses having fun mechs, instead of just afk spamming 1 atk. Old school is chill but It just seems like it'd lose its flavour once after awhile.
