This is awesome. I’ve been doing your club program for a couple weeks now and also kettlebells. After a few weeks of clubs my shoulder pain is going away and I feel more stable overall.

Real smart to combine club presses with shin box or 90-90s. It forces vertical spine posture when opening the hips

Heavy clubs have helped so much with partner dancing. It really is a game changer worth the learning investment.

@@guldcat1619 Hello, I primarily do the swing dances and some country dances. I do the basic circles, pendulums, and casts. It's on my to-do list to get to mills and other advanced patterns but the basics have really helped with connection. I think learning how to swing the weight, altering grip as appropriate, learning how to move the weight and manipulate how heavy it feels and not strong arm it, helps in that regard a lot. In the swing dances (and maybe some country dances but I'm not super advanced there), I think it helps me rotate about my vertical axis efficiently, smoothly and effectively if that makes sense. It's funny because usually dance instructors give guidance in terms of our hands and footwork but I relate it to weight swinging, as in how to counteract the weight with my body as a complete system. It really does help me to think in terms of body leads (instead of what just my arms and legs are doing) with body rotations, side-stepping, weight shifts, etc. If you like to dance, clubs really will up your game even if you don't learn any new dance patterns. Definitely try clubs out if you like to dance, or definitely try dancing out if you like to train with clubs. Both are awesome!

Excellent work. I look forward to more ground based Clubbell drills for martial arts.

After starting with the Indian clubs, I'm feeling much better in hips. I also noticed that my feet, while walking, are pointed straight feeling very natural. Thanks Mark.

Hi Mark. Great content as usual. My physical Achilles heel is literally the left side of my hip with a focus on the QL muscle. This exercise pattern looks like a Godsend for that. I know you focus on creating programs for the lowest common denominator in terms of financial power, but have you considered creating a Mobility focused program with clubs and other implements that can be used on the light days when someone is training 6 days a week?

Thank you. I’ve been trying to find ways to help my S+C for Ju Jitsu. I use kettlebells but I’ll incorporate these as well.

I do the transition when in a fully extended front press position. Is this OK?

It’s more advanced. With a heavier weight you’ll end up at this. Strong work

I was excited to try this out hoping it would help me get back into jiujitsu, but I couldn’t even get my right hip down to the ground 😂 off to do the more basic movement..

Wish I had bought a club in stead of a mace.

You can do this excercise with mace. You even get 2 lvls of difficulty-chocked mace and full length mace

Goals are getting that rear butt cheek down to the ground. I can fit half a fist under there at the moment 😂

Fair to say another common mistake could be... Trying to do too much with the front leg hip?

I see that this applies to martial arts, but would/could it apply to marital arts? You know he/she may have a wife beater on.
