Wow.... Nice vintage sound! The problem with practically all review videos is: most people don't crank the amp while others try to get a Slash type of sound out of these amps. Thanks for this video: it helped me to narrow my searching for a smaller wattage amp. After playing one by myself I pulled the trigger and bought one by myself!😀

Jesus, no matter what Marshall you play, you get the best recorded vintage rock tones out there. Has to be the ceilings and great sounding room there. Your room mic is the icing on the cake.

Polentaccio It also has something to do with him using those vintage Marshall 4x12's. I've come to notice that the biggest best mod you can do on/for an amp is speaker modification.

Mic and mic position are huge, too, but yeah, this particular set of vintage speakers are an instrument unto themselves. I don't know why I haven't searched around for a decent IR of this speaker cab setup before now.

Everyone has their own signature tone in their technique of chording,, vibrato, picking, fretting, soling , adjusting the guitars volume, tone, . All of these nuances together with the Tools like a Good Guitar, and Amp will get you closer, but his technique is not only his hands, but his mind, and memory

I'm at a loss for words, wow. Incredible! The lower gain tones were as magical as the high gain ones, wish I could afford one of these. Having a big room to crank things up in is a big help too, I live in an apartment, so this kind of playing is out of the question.

I'd buy it for the cleans alone. and what a handy size. I've always thought even a 1987 has a fair bit of fresh air at the ends of the chassis and box. Nice to hear your rhythm work on a tight percussive amp again, really brings out the contrasting dynamics you play. Have a great weekend

that's exactly how I pictured it would sound. Thick and creamy with just the right amount of top end... definitely meant to be run hot and loud. I don't really see this as a practice amp. Great video.

Hey Johan I have a question for you, but first I want to say great playing and I love your videos. So.....I bought the mini jubilee about seven months ago and really do like it. I run it through a cab with vintage 30's. But just the other day I purchased a DSL40C because I want to keep the wear and tear off of the Jubilee. Anyway, am I crazy for thinking the DSL40 sounds better then the Jubilee? Cause I honestly I do think it does. To me the DSL has more of the Marshall growl then the Jubilee. Its not the speakers cause I put a vintage 30 in the DSL. Just weird to think that a amp made across the ocean sounds better then one made in England.

Thank you Johan! Marshall should be paying you commissions. I purchased the 2525H after watching this video. You rocked that Marshall and Les Paul! Super skills! My favorite guitar is my Les Paul, and my favorite tone is Marshall so I was sold immediately! I am on a budget so I didn't get the 4x12 with amazing speakers; however I did purchase the 2536A SJ 2x12 vertical matching cab. It;s a great looking rig and I can change the speakers at any time to improve on tone, but for now Mini SJ head and Cab have exceeded my expectations. Thanks for what you are doing. I am super glad I found your channel!

Thank you Johan! best demo on the internet! I have an old JCM 600 that sounds just like this and the ole girl needs to be serviced beyond tubes. Was looking at this and the evh 5150 el34. I need this vintage tone and the evh seems to do that well on its blue channel, but i keep going back to the marshall. Id love having the ability for huge gain once in a while with the Evh,but this Silver jubilee keeps taking it to my ears!

This Marshall is a far more versatile amp than the 5150. The EVH is a one trick pony, although it does a great job at that trick, it is quite a limiting factor as to the style and kind of tones you can do. The Marshall excels at everything!

It's kind of funny how on most Blackstar HT series videos you always see comments about clipping diodes and them not being real tube amps. I'm assuming that it is less well known that this amp uses clipping diodes too because I've scrolled down a few pages and not seen one comment. Great playing as always.
