Part 8: • Martin Shkreli on List...
Part 6: • Martin Shkreli on Maki...
Part 1: • Martin Shkreli on How ...
--------
Martin Shkreli shared insights about his controversial purchase of an unreleased Wu-Tang Clan album for $1.5 million. Shkreli highlighted his admiration for Dave Chappelle and how Wu-Tang's references in Chappelle's Show contributed to his decision. Despite not being a hardcore Wu-Tang fan originally, Shkreli saw the album as a cultural investment rather than a luxury splurge like a yacht.

I never understood the concept of Wu Tangs unreleased album, it just doesn’t make sense for a group or an artist to create something and then say we don’t want nobody to listen to it for 80 something years, and then only have one copy and sell it to the highest bidder for millions of dollars, recording artists want their music to be heard, unless they themselves thought it sucked so bad that they cooked up this elaborate scheme just to save themselves the embarrassment of creating it.

They should start a group called 2Live Jews and call their first album ‘Money Thieves’ with the first single called Takin’ Advantage, on Wall Street Records and call their loyal and faithful followers the Suckas.

I knew someone that lived in his building in nyc back then. It was a basic ass building filled with mid 20s state school kids. He had a place on the highest floor apparently. So a relatively fancy apartment in a basic ass building apparently.

Vlad talking about Wu? GTFOH!! They are the greatest hip Hop group ever!! They dropped some of the greatest albums as a group and individually. Plus it's a limited edition (art )item. Not only would it hold it's value it would go up in price.

Far from the greatest group and only made 1 classic album. 2nd album was unnecessarily made into a double album because that was the trend then.

@@showmecreationsmultimedia if we quantify greatness as legendary status, longevity, cult appeal, and critical and commercial success -- Wu is *inarguably* the greatest group in hip hop. I use these as quantifiers because its a fair way to judge greatness across any genre, solo, or group act. From classical to dancehall.
