Marvel Netflix Villains Ranked!

With the release of Daredevil Season 3, it seemed like the perfect time to rank the #Marvel #Netflix villains from the worst to the best.
Since there are so many potential villains to include (I came up with 3 or 4 for each season), I decided to rank them based off of the quality of villains each season. That way I can discuss more characters while not creating a list which is unbearably long or which leaves people out.

Tough list to make, they are all so damn good, I’m biased for bullseye since the bullseye in the Daredevil movie was so trash, I had such low expectations and my expectations were blow away from Bethel’s performance and the characters writing along with fighting skills

I think Luke Cage S2 actually had some of the best sets of villains because it was based around this gang war/family feud between Black Mariah & Bushmaster which was compelling. Also Shades' character was so much more interesting in this season as he was in a moral crisis. Underrated season.

They really are a drag, and while I understand they're a big part of DD in the comics, there's just no way the EXCELLENT Fisk and Punisher stories can mesh coherently with a bunch of ninjas...just a mess, and probably the ONE moment where sticking to the comics just didn't work out so well. The fun thing is that they have the ONE show where they could be and SHOULD be used to the fullest and not be ridiculous or boring, and they focus the goddamns season on a corporate zombie and his spoiled kids. Defenders kinda used them well, but by then, i don't think anyone even CARED about The Hand or that bitch Elektra any more.

Sure. I’m picking which set of complaints I get for the next 6 months. If I rank them individually I get people complaining about the random character I “forgot” to include and the list would be unbearably long. If I group them I get complaints I didn’t do it right. This is why I’ve been delaying doing this video for 6 months. It’s a cant win video.

As much as I love Kingpin, I think my favourite villain is Killgrave. At first, I thought I would never be able to see David Tennant as someone else that the Kind Doctor (in doctor who), but he absolutely nailed it, he was so hateable, but at the same time every scene he was in were an absolute masterpiece!

Harol Mecheum is so underrated, people say that there is a lot of inconsistency throughout the season in terms of the antagonists, which I agree, is true. But, I think that the way Harold is depicted as the main villain is actually interesting. The film tries to slightly hide that Harold is the villain by making him look like a good person by caring for Danny Rand at first but only to eventually turn on him in the end, as if he controls the hand and iron fist like his puppets. Making a deal for immortality, then make iron fist to eliminate harold’s enemies then turn against iron fist. Just like Fisk, he controls the strings from behind

Sean! When are we gonna talk about the other MCU TV Shows? There's definitely some good shows (like Runaways and Cloak & Dagger) and some BAD ones (like Inhumans *shudders*) Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. fluctuates a lot between good and bad plot points but its the show with the most solid connections to the MCU films. It’s all a matter of time. Tv shows are tough to rank because a season is 10 to 20 hours long. If I wasn’t already watching before I started this channel, it’s really tough to catch up. And there’s so many new shows dropping it’s tough to add old ones to the mix.

For me I really enjoyed watching Cottonmouth and Bushmaster. Great balance between style, motivation and acting on the part of the actors. Lots of great memorable moments from them. Especially between Bushmaster and Luke Cage. Loom weak really but the music and the lead up work together. The actor of the villain was what really took it a step above where it should have been. Really I felt Cottonmouth was a great villain in the vain on Killmonger before MBJ. Stoked killing him ended everything for me on the level of L from death note. Not saying it’s the same. Just saying they built such a good character with an actor that really stood above everyone else at the time to be honest and they couldn’t get back to that point. Bushmaster was fucked because he was caught in the middle of the bullshit downward spiral.

IMO, Tombstone would have been the perfect villain for Luke Cage season 3 if it had not gotten cancelled. He's basically an evil Luke with the super strength and hard skin. His back story of being an albino in a black community and progressing his way into the criminal underworld would be a perfect fit from a storytelling perspective.

I thought Davos was a very generic villain. Sure you could see where he was coming from when it came to him being jealous of Danny, but when he gained the fist, it felt like he killed people because he had to

My favourite villains are Billy Russo and Mariah Stokes. I get that Wilson Fisk ranks higher for everyone, but Netflix never made me hate him. I don't think I've hated a character more than Billy Russo at the end of Punisher 1x08, and the massacre at Gwen's was completely unnecessary. With Fisk, I wanted Matt to win. With Billy and Mariah, Frank and Luke HAD TO win.
