Has it been three years? During the bad times, the worrisome and unknown times, I relied on you with your everyday Songs From Home for a sort of reassurance that life goes on, that troubles are not the core of existence, that simple pleasures and kindness are far more sustaining than bad news and fears of what "might be". Thank you for that. I don't know when I moved on to "life as normal" but I did and have found it not nearly as generous and caring as you and those like you made it for all the shut-ins of those times.

I woke up so early this morning made a cup of tea and then set my reminder for my Sunday afternoon therapy with Dr MCC. Mary I don't how much you realise the immense pleasure not just your music brings but sharing in a snippet of your home life with percussionist Angus and that sleepy eyed beauty Miss White Kitty and of course your radiant self. Stay Mighty! Much love from Sussex UK ❤✌

I took these words literally for over 25 years. I was a skydiver and instructor and when asked why i skydived, this was my response. The deeper meaning was lost to some, but those living a full life got it.

I just tuned in ... and YOU PLAYED IT!!!! HAPPY DANCE!!!!! (Snoopy dancing around the room....) Your timing is impeccable. I have had a week. My (90 year old) genuinely amazing mom passed away Friday evening. She waited for her sons to arrive before she went. It was so sad and so lovely all at the same time. And just when I might start feeling like the universe was putting just a little bit too much on my plate, I get this. You have no idea. Thank you. So very much.

One of my favourite songs! Thank you so much. I first fell in love with you in the early 90s when I had come thru a difficult period in my life and I really needed to find my 'center' again so I could "single mom". I listened to you daily. Your songs were feisty, thoughtful, and so many other things that my soul needed. And here you are again, feeding our souls with exactly the right mix for these crazy times. Bless you, stay safe and mighty.

I just watched your You Tube performances of Stones in the Road, Why Shouldn’t We, and Only A Dream ...just blew me away! I’ve found you now because of your Songs from Home series. I wondered where I was earlier - I largely missed your career - ‘cause of me, not you. I realized it was med school/residency/early doctoring (sometimes I call them the lost years) that made me miss your earlier career. But what grace/gift from the Universe to find you now! Sweet, sweet gift from the Universe at this age, my 60s. I think that’s also why I relate to your songs so much, because you see what I saw in our childhoods and growing up. I view you at The Poet Laureate of Song...thanks for sharing your gifts each week. I truly can’t wait to see you perform your new album! Much love, God bless, and, as always, stay mighty! Angus and White Kitty too!

This song is so fitting to our world today. I moved and many of my things are in storage. I was watching a video from a country music awards program and saw your name and immediately looked for your videos. I saw you in concert at 4 different venues in Indiana in the 90’s. Purchased all your albums and you are still a favorite for music listening. Seeing this video brought back so many memories from your concerts and makes me wonder about the others in your band. You always put on a fantastic show! Now I know I can see and hear you and your music whenever my heart desires. You tell awesome stories with your music. I’m so happy I found you.....again.......20-30 years later♥️

One year ago you posted this SFH video. Your "One Story" continues to unfold with grace, humbleness, and well-deserved recognition. It has been a very long time coming. You have spent the past year and a bit walking and reflecting with covid-19 grounding us all. It is your time to once again soar and fly, just perhaps at a slower speed with a fall tour on the horizon (it too once again looks packed). Wonderful news hearing this weekend was historic for you Ms. Carpenter as you were inducted into the First Class of Women's Songwriter Hall of Fame awards. 2021 has quite a different new normalcy for you. Way to go!! Hard to believe so many talented women have been ignored since 1970. Perhaps now, "Times, they are a changin". Congratulations!! So happy for you and the 9 other inductees. Thank you for your voice( quietly and aloud) at the helm of women, children and humane issues. "Actions speak louder" that is for sure! You are quite the one to "show a little inspiration". Stay safe and be well. 😊 🇨🇦

Thanks a million, Mary!!! My husband and I got married Saturday morning (the 27th) in the park where we met, and yesterday he asked me which song I hoped you would sing today. I've adored "Why Walk When You Can Fly" as long as I can remember, and I told him I would love to hear that beautiful song. What a wonderful coincidence that your 27th episode featured it. You've been such a comfort to Matt and me during this crazy time, and I even promised to "stay mighty" in my vows. Thank you for the serendipitous wedding gift, and cheers to staying safe and strong from Kansas! You're a gem (as are White Kitty and Angus!)!!!

My husband and I are on the east coast and our 25 year old son lives on the west coast. When my son was young his favorite stuffed animal was a little bull dog named Angus. Dear Mary! You're back:)It's so kind of you to upload reminders, they bring joy, peace, smiles, the last one said with greatest respect to everything that is all around us. You are doing a lot 'for the world you live in', Paul McCartney said it in his intro notes to Liverpool Oratorium (presented in Budapest on Margaret island, an island in the river Danube years ago:) While waiting, I listened to your albums nicely in order:) and revisited early episodes here. I met familiar faces at the comments to songs from years back, too, and many familiar feelings to closely relate to! Your less frequently mentioned songs are also truly great!!! 'Hero in your own hometown: This world is gonna wear you thin...This world is gonna take its aim, call you every name' Wonderful song, also rockin'! Please forgive me for the long note. God forgive me, please. I hope you are staying strong like us:) Sending many many thanks and respectful, silent smiles. Hugs to Angus and White Kitty. May God bless you!
