Hi mike, pinoy here. You were featured on national news here in the Philippines. You blogging about the taxi over price. The taxi driver has now been apprehended and the taxi confiscated by the government. Good thing you blogged it coz illegal price hiking and not using the government issued taxi meter causes a lot of trouble not only for foreigners but also the locals.

I absolutely love this. We need this in the US. So much of every culture revolves around the foods we eat. This should be mandatory once a month in everyone’s town, village, county...whatever. Bring a dish to pass and just sit around the food and dig in. When ppl have full bellies they’re much happier and get along much better. 😊🥰

Wow! This style of eating is also traditional for our tribe(btw we live in Mizoram one of the northeast states in India, when i was growing up we used to have chrismas&new years feast in thiz style, but these days we don't practice it anymore in public feast but we still do it on picnic, camping|outdoorsy stuff with our friends, putting all the dishes the rice on huge banana leaves...its kinda rustic and very traditional to our culture...love it...

I ever read article that there is similarities between Formosa tribe in taiwan, philippines tribes, sulawesi Indonesia ( north in specific ), dayak tribes in Indonesia, nias / dayak mentawai tribe in west sumatra, maori in new zealand, and mizoram in india / nagaland tribes... even all of them share the same ancient habit such as : head hunter. And the same language use to it is : Kayau / Ngayau. Story about giant snake: Nabau / Ngabau... Is that correct? If it is true... wow thats great than...

Cjango Freeman I know it seems excessive but they're cracking down hard on them because scams like these paint a bad picture for future tourists. Saw news where another cab driver who pulled a scam off on another famous female vlogger (I don't recall her name) was fined, his license and cab suspended and humiliated in national TV. Harsh punishments should deter crimes like these especially when majority of these cab/tricycle drivers could barely afford such fines.

Do you ever consider to visit Indonesia? The food here will blow your mind ;) If you ever visit Indonesia, here are some recommendations: 1) Chinese food, especially the noodles (we called it bakmie). In Jakarta you could find different kind of noodles style from all around Indonesia (Medan, Pontianak, Makassar, Bangka, Jambi, and many more). You could find these different style of noodle in Kelapa Gading are, there's a street there that full of noodle vendors with different style. 2) Sundanese food. We have something similar with the boodle fight style called bancakan. You should visit Bandung or other West Java area to sample the authentic food ;) 3) Padang food! You must have heard about rendang? It's just a kind of many flavorful Padang food. You should visit Padang Sederhana (the maintstream, but good), Pagi Sore restaurant, Garuda restaurant, and some others (it's too many for me to mention one by one here) 4) Balinese food. Super good with entirely different style than the other food from other regions. You should try 'babi guling' which a bit similar with the lechon. The food in Indonesia varies from each region, so it's a LOT to try ;)
