This Bald Faced Hornet (Dolichovespula maculata) colony built its nest in a clients yard. The clients were concerned to venture into their yard fearing the hornets would attack. So they called me to come and removed the colony. I came out with my handy vacuum and sucked out all the hornets, pulled the nest down and fed it to my animals!

Thank you 🙏🏼 for the education, I am a tarantula girl but you have educated and interested me! You can even see around 10:19 as he bags up the nest, the trees branch springs right up and doesn’t come back down. That implies the nest must’ve been VERY heavy, to the point where it’s putting a strain on the trees branch sagging it down. This also implies that it must’ve been filled with THOUSANDS if not TENS OF THOUSANDS of hornets. It’s a good thing you got the nest down, as eventually the branch may break from the weight of the nest causing the nest to break as well, sending thousands of hornets swarming the yard, probably would attack the unfortunate owner of the house, even worse is that the owner might be allergic, which can cause a whole lot of problems in the long run , not to mention the poor tree would have one less branch. (Obviously the owner part would be much worse). So you did the right thing hornet king, also I love how you give the nests to the animals, I’m sure they love it! Good job :D

I think one of the main reasons I like want to meet the people who I like to watch on tv and online and thank them is because they got my mind off of some hard stuff. I just found out that a pastor today l who I listened to online and meant only once died from Cancer. His message of hope and joy really affected my life. I was very sad to hear about his death. I never knew the man well and I was trying to get my mind off of the whole thing so I don’t get too bogged down and this video came on my feed. Thank you for Hornet King, for giving me some happiness during a sad time and kinda getting my mind off of things. I truly think that there is a huge need for that from time to time.

A few months ago I was spotting nests on the Schuylkill River Trail riding my bike. I think one was or may still be at the valley forge sign north next to 422. The other may of been north of norristown by a homeless camp. All were small just maybe 8 inches diameter on random trees. The last time I saw a big one like this one in the video was at the betzwood parking lot in valley forge near the bathrooms. I only accidentally noticed it. Mainly it was due to a bunch of the baldies flying around on the ground under my table I was sitting at ( I was eating a lunch). I looked up and their it was. They didn't bug me at all. Their nest was less gray and more orangey too. Before that I didn't really see a baldie nest since one was on my house in Williamstown back in 1990.
